had $100 million in a checking account with zero to low interest 🤣
That's typical for that particular bank, which has most of its deposits from venture capital. Those agreements can require that the entire financing received be kept at a specified bank, for ease of monitoring. Roku had $487 million, mostly uninsured, in SVB accounts.

Exactly what type of accounts do you think a large company makes payroll from?
Usually an account or set of accounts with a zero balance, funded on the day of disbursement. When you are relying on venture capital to make payroll, the funds tend to sit in a funding account +/- overnight investments and move the current payroll total on the disbursement date.

good liquor be damned...
That version of Highway 61 off Second Winter in 1969 is incredible. This one is great too. I remember he was escorted to his chair by two helpers and a third handed him his guitar once he was safely seated. Derek and his bandmates could not stop smiling. They obviously idolize him. Like I said the other night, Dylan wrote some awfully good songs as well as some plain awful ones.
