Slidell, LA. Anyone thinking of staying outside NOLA

For sugar bowl? My sister booked a hotel 15 min from superdome for like $760 total for 2 nights. Hotels in Slidell are around $130/night. I’ve never been to NOLA so I’m curious if anyone has ever stayed there.
