Gary is camping in Baton Rouge this weekend, but his mother, Jennifer Shepherd, was kind enough to catch up with me regarding their recent trip to Athens.
She enjoyed her time in town and said it's a real consideration for them, otherwise they wouldn't have wasted the time or money to return. She spent time with Richt, Pruitt, and Rocker and was complimentary of all three. She let Gary spend his time alone during the camp, and she said he left the experience impressed with what he saw.
As for whether they'll return or if Georgia will make the cut, she said if was up to her, they'd be there. She plans to let Rashan make that call, but things seem to be boding well for the Bulldogs right now.
We also discussed distance, and she was adamant that it's not a concern for her. She's looking for Gary to become a man of his own and said that even the furthest place he could go would only be a few hours plane ride.
We'll have the full update to come with her, but Georgia should be feeling as though they made a very solid impact during Dawg Night.
