The official state foods of Texas practically guarantee that you'll eat well there! Their state dish is chille con carne and their state snack is tortilla chips and delicious salsa. UTAH
Utah has two state vegetables, a historic state vegetable and a contemporary state vegetable. This is a hilarious result of the stiff competition between the sugar beet and the Spanish sweet onion 2002 Utah Sate Legislature vote on state vegetables. As a compromise, the sugar beet was declared a historic vegetable and the Spanish sweet onion was declared the contemporary state vegetable. Even though Utah is apparently passionate about vegetables, their state snack is jello.

Vermont has made their passion for apples clear in their choice of official foods! Their state fruit is apple, and their state pie is apple pie!

Virginia does not have an official state food, but we would vote ham! In terms of flavor and quality, it's hard to beat authentic Virginia ham. Traditionally served in ham biscuits, you can enjoy this treat for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

The official state fruit of West Virginia is the Golden Delicious apple. The original tree for this specific type of apple was found on a family farm and produced locally. The genome for the apple was eventually bought by a company which decoded it and started its national mass production.

Although it is well known for cheese and beer, the state of Wisconsin has chosen to officially declare corn as the state grain and the Danish kringle as the state pastry.
WYOMING
Wyoming does not have an official state food, but Rocky Mountain oysters and chicken fried steak are two Wyoming classics we'd nominate. If you're planning on a trip there, beware of the rocky mountain oysters, as they're not really oysters but bull testicles!
