My favorite thing is when either side pretends to care about the deficit.

It’s not a theory it’s an objective fact.
In 1964 American demographics was roughly 13% black 87% white.
60 years later blacks aren’t even the largest minority group and whites have shrunk to roughly 50% of the population.
Ok so since you literally blame everything on race lets make it much easier.
Lets say Jorge has been in the country for 5 years and works for a landscape company and is making $18 an hour.
Pedro is new in the country and will do the same work for $13 an hour, so Jorges boss fires him and replaces him with Pedro.

Than Obama ‘s. But less than Harris’ deficit.
Either way, there is pain in our financial future due to the unconscionable waste of our country’s resources. No way out.
It comes down to how you want this invested. In Americans or overseas. To pay for abortions, sex changes, child abuse or not. Do you want this sent to Ukraine, Israel, Somalia, Kuwait, etc, or more in our own country. Want to finance immorality or semi-morality. DEI or not.
The price we will pay in the coming years will be higher inflation, cutting of govt programs like SS and the increase of taxes. One day everyone will realize in plain sight what the Ukraine and foreign wars cost us.
I favor conservative principles but seems like both sides have abandoned the idea. I remember arguing with a so called “conservative” aunt in law about George W’s spending. She told me those were just numbers.

The Wall Street Journal is owned by News Corp, Rupert Murdoch’s company, same owner as Fox News. It has some journalistic integrity and it has writers with differing perspectives but it isn’t a left wing rag by any means. That doesn’t mean the article doesn’t have a political slant but the WSJ is a good newspaper.
Who exactly then will:
clean your hotel room?
cook your food at restaurants?
pick crops in California and Florida?
work the chicken farms?
process meats in a factory?
make bourbon barrels at cooperages?
You want to talk about inflation - take away immigrants and watch the supply chain collapse, services falter and prices skyrocket.
Would you let a rattlesnake into your house because it was good at catching rats? There is a vetting process and a legal way to come into this country. It’s already been proven that criminals are taking advantage of the porous border. We can’t be naive.
People that visit our embassy in their own country and apply for a work permit. (and don't tell me they can't get to an embassy if they can hike to our border) People or groups of people that are sponsored by employers to enter on a legal work visa or even people that show up/have shown up and entered our country illegally but are permitted to apply for a temporary work visa.
If we reach a point where the vast majority of new entrants are screened and legally permitted to work, there could even be a process where the entrants could apply for citizenship. There is simply no reason why we couldn't have an orderly process but BOTH sides seem to enjoy having a wedge issue that keeps peons like you and me arguing.

Im old enough to remember the Trump Presidency from 2017 to 2020 , and we had enough people to do all of these things without making our border an expressway into the US.
We do not need 15 million more people here , and at least 10 million of them hate us and our culture. This is a disaster in the making.

Ah yes how soon we forget the 200+ year time period in American history where hotel rooms were filthy, people sat around aimlessly at restaurants awaiting their order, the crops in California and Florida withered on the vine, chickens roamed the country side with no one to care for them, meat spoiled waiting to be processed, and bourbon was something unheard of.
