What country is this?
Oh, I forgot, the border was WIDE AS OPEN!!
What country is this?
Honestly, after seeing the first video of Hill driving by, it didn't seem that he was racing by at all. Now, I don't know the posted speed limit there but it looked more along the lines of what should have amounted to a normal speeding ticket and possibly a seatbelt violation. Originally, his window is fully rolled down, Hill gave him his info no problem, then the officer starts badgering him about the seatbelt and on more than one occasion reaching into the car for no reason. It was a this point that Hill stayed silent and simply rolled his window up for what I would assume was some sort of safety concern on his end. After several orders from the officer, he rolls the window down roughly 1/4 the way(legal btw), the officer the apparently is dissatisfied and then ego takes overYeah, your opinion could be correct. But, if he was indeed going 50 mph over the speed limit like I've seen alleged, their request of having him keep his deeply tinted windows rolled down is not just reasonable, we're bordering on it being ridiculously lenient. You have a violent criminal driving 50 mph and you don't immediately arrest him? Ridiculous.
I also find it ridiculous that the Dolphins security was able to keep him from getting arrested.
curious. what did he make up? I'd like to know.Just making shit up lol
If you actually read and comprehend what each ruling says, you will see that it is because of circumstance that the officer was in the right to ask the person to step out of the vehicle. It never states that an officer can simply order someone out of a vehicle simply just because. And if LEO agencies are teaching it this way, it's no wonder we the issues we have across the boardOkay then you may want to start notifying all of the LE agencies and various training academies across the country that they’ve had one of the most popular case laws wrong for decades.
Probably want to add Maryland v. Wilson as well. Never thought we’d be arguing something as boring as case law on here but here we are. I think that’s my clue.
Yes…when it involves something as simple as rolling down a window. Getting into arguments over stuff that doesn’t matter is a stupid way to go through life.So a cop gives an order that he has no legal standing to give, and you are saying folks should comply anyway to avoid this kind of incident?
The fact that you thought Pennsylvania v. Mimms had anything to do motorized car windows…(it doesn’t by the way) shows you just googled the case after I cited it and formed your own opinion based on this situation with Hill. The courts have held, repeatedly, that LE can absolutely order someone out of the vehicle on a lawful traffic stop “just because”. You may not like it but that does not change decades long case law.If you actually read and comprehend what each ruling says, you will see that it is because of circumstance that the officer was in the right to ask the person to step out of the vehicle. Exactly. This is not rocket science. The police are constantly under stress and don't play around with someone giving them trouble over being asked to lower their window. Just lower the window stupid. It's clear the officer would like to speak with you! Ummm, that's why he's standing there knocking on the window. No idea what he supposedly did to get pulled over but wouldn’t it have been much easier to give the officer his license and registration? That’s what I’ve always done when I get pulled over.
I don't think it has anything to do with motorized windows. The entire case is whether or not Mimms' 4th amendment right was violated by asking him to step out of the vehicle. The State argued that the officer did this for every traffic stop for his own personal safety concerns and that this trumped the drivers personal liberty, ie. 4th amendment rights as it was a mere inconvenience compared to the officer's safety concerns. Personally, I think the courts are 100% wrong in their interpretation that the officer's safety concerns outweighs the personal liberties of the driver in this particular case. As stated in the case, at no time did the driver or passenger ever give any reason or appearance of any doubt that would otherwise warrant either officer to ask either the driver or passenger the need to exit the vehicle. In the Maryland v Wilson case, the officer was completely justified by the way Wilson was acting when he approached the vehicle. The fact that you thought Pennsylvania v. but, the officer has to fear for his safety to forcibly remove the person from the vehicle. from what i saw there was no overt threat to the officer from hill just an officers wounded ego.Pennsylvania v Mimms, and the other I don’t recall (it’s been awhile), allows law enforcement to lawfully remove drivers from the vehicle. The window was irrelevant at that point IMO. Having them exit the vehicle just takes the whole arguing back and forth about the window out of the equation.
It's obviously possible. In all seriousness, why not comply and go about your business? Wouldn't that be easier.Otherwise you might get roughed up?
No, they do not.but, the officer has to fear for his safety to forcibly remove the person from the vehicle. from what i saw there was no overt threat to the officer from hill just an officers wounded ego.
lets see what a judge rules. but you are correct in a broad interpretation of the ruling an officer may remove a person from a vehicle that has been lawfully stopped for a violation. No, they do not.
Lol another coddled athlete thinking he’s above the law… f’s around and finds out… now he’s the victim lol… his interview on CNN is laughable… “yeah man… you know what I’m sayin… I was chillin… I’m a dad… I’m a husband… I’m shell shocked man”… lol I bet you are now that your cocky ass got shoved into the asphalt… if he was in fact driving that fast, then he easily deserves the treatment imo… then he runs his mouth and acts the way he did… yes sir no sir and he would of been on his way… you guys defending him and bashing police are lost… they’re all racist meat heads until you need them lol…Did you all see the body cam footage of the officer who actually pulled him over??? Tyreek was going f*cking 100 mph on the damn road, was rude as hell and raised his window when the officer was trying to speak to him. STOP BEING F*CKING STUPID and you won’t get dragged out of your f*cking vehicle, COMPLY WITH POLICE
LOL, some sort of safety concern on his end. Some of these takes are laughable. Rolling up a tinted window so a cop can't see what you are doing but you think Hill was concerned for his safety? If this guy wasn't a football player he would be in jail already.Honestly, after seeing the first video of Hill driving by, it didn't seem that he was racing by at all. He’s one of the most bitter and angry posters on the site… filled with resentment and jealousy… I think it was his upbringing… any chance he gets to throw out insults about other posters ages, political views, or whatever, he jumps on it and it gets so tiresome… constantly shows his immature petty ignorance when he says trash like this… “The educated will leave and the inbred single digit IQ Trumpers will take over. ****. Seems we have a pig on the line…“ There’s no other poster I’d rather meet behind Wachovia than him…You seem stable. Show me on the doll where the cops touched you
facts are tough for someCorrect, and then he told him to keep his deeply-tinted windows down so he can see inside the car. The driver refused, and was removed from the vehicle.
