I know you can’t play the game with stats, but it’s interesting to me that LSU’s offense is about 13 points better than the dawgs. The defenses, Georgia is 12 points better....almost a wash.
As the season goes, the more I am convinced it’s the lack of an experienced receivers that is our issue, not the play calling or OC.
The good news to me is, the receivers may be getting better. We certainly are a different team with Cager in there.
To me, the South Carolina game was an anomaly....a perfect storm. Four turnovers, 2 missed field goals, Cager out, Davis out and Campbell (did I miss more?).....pretty sure most any team would have lost that one under the same circumstances.
If there is such a thing as a good loss, this may be one. Just guessing here, but thinks Kirby may have used this as an opportunity to sell it this way.
But I do understand your argument, a lot of people would see it that way also. I also agree with Kirby staying out of the way of the OC, again.....just guessing that he is not giving him the autonomy. If he is not, should he be replaced??
We’ll find out more soon, if you have a championship caliber offense, you always have a chance imo. It will definitely be an interesting matchup with LSU if the teams do indeed meet. I’m guessing that the line will be much closer than some think if things remain the same as they are today.....maybe +3 to +4, LSU.
