Not factually accurate. Literally a myth propagated by those whose interest is to stop the process.
I do business all over the world. Many people I do business with are wealthy. None of them come here for procedures. They all laugh when I tell them the stories that are passed around here.
Elective procedures take longer than they do in the US. That is acknowledged. Cancer treatment in the US is the best. Again, a fact. Other than that, the treatment is as good or better than US systems. Infant mortality is lower, life expectancy is longer, costs are less. It is statistically unassailable.
The amazing thing is that every country has a different system, a different path to universal coverage. Some have hybrid public/private systems. All of them work better than US healthcare.
