What percentage do you think makes a HC successful…..

in the SEC? I think it’s 75% recruiting and 25% coaching. Kirby made a statement during Dan Mullen’s final months at UF, paraphrasing, that if a HC didn’t recruit everyday he wouldn’t last in the SEC. Recruiting means getting talented players who are the right kind of people, good citizens. Coaching means setting the tone, getting their attitude right, and lastly, technical Xs and Os coaching.

In NCAA basketball, I think an even higher premium is on recruiting…..maybe 80-85 percent.
