From their assumed political party?

Could it be that they actually apply their interpretation of the law regardless of any perceived political leanings?

Could it be that all the expand the Supreme Court BS is a deflection because liberals just can’t comprehend a judge actually acting counter to their politics.

Can anyone point to any recent decision where a liberal judge breaks liberal ranks?

No because they can’t read the constitution. They just vote together, they are like sheep.

The one that gets me was how anyone could vote that it is okay for the President to unilaterally forgive a half trillion in student debt for a select class. Effectively hand them tens of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money without congress. The three liberals toed the democrat line ignoring the founding principles of separation of powers and the power of the purse. No way the “conservatives” would have allowed Trump to do that

The simple answer is out of 9 justices there is 1 conservative. The rest are varying degrees of leftist. With Sotomeyor being a communist to Coney Barrett being a 2008 democrat.

The slightly more complex answer is "conservative" justices place a good deal of emphasis on case law precedent. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing if they didn't believe that con law begins with the Warren Court. But because there is precedent they are reluctant to overturn it and at no point are they willing to put their neck on the line by creating new precedent or reverting back to precedent prior to the Civil Rights Act. Essentially the John Roberts and Kavanaughs of the world are the pro reform French aristocrats who sat between the King and Robspierre prior to the French Revolution. Not willing to take a side but with sympathies lying with their "well meaning liberal friends" and won't understand what time it us until they get trotted out to have their heads chopped off.

The more complex answer is the 1964 Civil Rights Act replaced the American Constitution. And our entire judicial system and government's purpose is to take from Christian white men.

The most complex answer is our constitution and legal framework is inherently liberal so an inherently liberal system is going to produce liberal judges.
