was that early INT, Dart TD, and quick touchdown.

I was very confident going into yesterday… and when that happened, when it’s 7-0 right off the bat and their QB is limping into the locker room, I thought that we were going to roll…

Players are human. Coaches are too. I’m not suggesting anyone completely lost the focus, but you can’t tell me the intensity was same after that.

Maybe we don’t win anyway, but I bet that first half looks a lot different.

That’s not a leadership issue either - it’s just human nature.

Having said that, I’m baffled at the regression from so many players. Development has been a hallmark here, and for whatever reason it seems to have stopped. And in a lot of cases, gone the other way.

That $1.2m is going to be the most expensive money Carson Beck ever earns. But it’s not just him. If I am an NFL GM, I’m viewing a number of our players less favorably than I did back in August.

Crazy thing is, this team could still win a national title. I no longer think we will, but there is still enough in the tank for it to happen. Nobody else in the country would have gone into Austin at night and beaten Texas the way we did. But quite a few teams could manage to not lose by 3 TDs to Ole Miss…

Really think ole miss is peaking. And they could run the table. But they did lose to Kentucky. So we we will see

Nah. Completely outplayed and coached. I said WTF are we doing when I saw Damien and Jalen covering WR. Kiffin took our pash rushers out of the game. We needed to put more DBs in to cover their WRs

If all it takes for our team to get complacent is going up 7-0 these coaches have failed utterly.

Maybe. But it’s probably closer to a 2017 Auburn situation in JHS where we marched down the field and scored early only to get boat raced. I think we lose that game yesterday 8 times out of 10 based on what I’ve seen all year.
Ole Miss is a really good team that had to win out to make the playoff. I did not like the matchup at all (and still don’t). If UGA gets a 9 seed and has to go to Ole Miss on December 21, I still won’t like the matchup.

Tennessee is a great matchup for UGA.

I think Ole Miss wins it all. Best team I’ve seen this year by far.
I mean let’s be honest. They’re playing by the new rules but almost every defender highlighted yesterday played for a different team last year. I prefer to recruit the best out of HS but when you can go buy several AA’s out of the portal, games like yesterday happen.

Definitely got out played and out coached. No question there

Win these next 3 at home and get into the CFP (the SECCG is meaningless at this point with a 12 team playoff) and see what happens. Because I guarantee you there isn’t a team in the country who will want to play us in the first round no matter how we looked yesterday.

What?

You think Bama, Texas, OSU, Oregon, would rather play someone else than us? That’s saying we are the best team in the country, which we are definitely not. If you had to pick a team to play out of the current top 10, we would most definitely be on some teams lists due to our offensive issues. If you think otherwise, you are being ridiculously naive.

I don’t think Texas is in any big hurry to play us again and Alabama was very fortunate to beat us at their place.

I’m not suggesting that we aren’t vulnerable, but I think you’re being unrealistic (to be charitable) if you think that anyone is saying “I hope we get Georgia”

I can promise you neither Bama or Texas are scared to play us. Especially right now.

There isn’t a team in the country that ‘wants’ to play us. I promise you that. Doesn’t mean they are scared of us either but we still have a top 3 most talented roster in the country with the best HC in CFB and elite pedigree. Bama and Ole Miss got our F game and both know it. We are capable of beating anyone in the country.

It’s about having X number of teams to play in the 12 team play off and having to hope to play one team versus another team. I can promise you there are several other teams that other teams would rather NOT play than us. You think OSU wants to play UGA or Bama right now? UGA is not a threatening scary team right now.

Our defensive game plan on drive 1 was aggressive and we got an INT and Dart got injured. When he came back into the game he was clearly hobbled and we became passive, sending 3 and 4 sometimes 5 or 6 with basic gap blitzes which they just threw in behind time and time again. It was maddening.

I think the fact the back up marched down the field with ease spooked Kirby and Schu and we changed our plan.

Jimmies and Joe’s are more evenly spread out now and Kirby can’t out recruit and win based solely on better players. Those days are over. The only team we lost to have equal talent and that was bama. Now we get to see if we indeed have the coaching staff to compete for championships moving forward. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Have to disagree. That was the best start we could have asked for. Had we not been given a head start, it could have gotten really ugly.

Should have been blood in the water after going up 7-0. To not have that human response in a violent game is troubling.

We’ll never know. But I think we’ve all seen plenty of football games where a team gets an early score and then goes to sleep for awhile. We certainly seemed like a different team, offensively and defensively, after that

It’s a new question. Yes or no?

Do I think the team that played yesterday would beat Texas by 2 TDs? Well, no.

I also don’t think that our 2022 team that scaped by Missouri would beat Oregon by 46 points.

I seriously doubt that Texas wants to play us in the postseason based on yesterday. I’m sure they want another crack at us, but that’s a different thing
