Huddled around a voting machine in a federal courtroom, a small crowd watched as expert witness Alex Halderman demonstrated how someone could meddle with a Georgia election within seconds manipulating the Dominion Voting machines.

Halderman, a University of Michigan computer scientist, changed results of a hypothetical referendum on Sunday alcohol sales. I have no affection for Fox News, but if a voting system is shown to be very vulnerable to hacking, I think it would be reasonable for some “conspiracy theories” as they are called to become more plausible and yes I think that would impact a jury verdict, especially with amount. Regardless, my thought has always been the absentee ballot harvesting and lack of proper verification there of was off the chain in 2020 and was primary tool used by the democrats. I think it flipped Georgia, not sure about other states as margins were bigger. I suspect this same trick will be used in 2024 is why I am skeptical Trump can win in PA, Michigan or Wisconsin.

In a court of law, no evidence has been legally accepted that the vulnerabilities have been exploited in an actual election.

If so, people would be in jail.

What tricks did Halderman do? He hacked a Dominion machine in front of a judge. Are we to assume that others can’t, wouldn’t, didn’t manipulate the machines?

My question would be why the hacks would be impossible in the “real” world. The real world spends billions a year hacking everything from banks, governments and aunt Martha’s savings.

There isn’t a machine in the world that can’t be hacked. And that is the rub. But we are somehow told to back down and believe that every person who handled the info, gathered, transmitted, monitored, and “protected” the ballots cast are ethically and morally stable.

There isn’t a hacker out there that couldn’t manipulate the machines. Again, that is the rub.

We won’t do the most obvious things to tabulate a citizens vote. Instead, we create a system that is impossible to oversee.

Our system invites ideological agendas to manipulate the vote for the perceived good of the supported agenda. Much like religious zealots, political agenda and money drives men to do illegal things.

Few are going to jail because the system is built to not get caught.

The two systems that make no sense are NIL/portal and our election system. Either no rules or such a flagrant disregard for common procedures, why should we be surprised?

1) Prove you are the registered voter at time of vote.

We know quite well. I will go you one better.

The SoS was ordered by Judge Amy Totenberg, the judge in the case we are discussing, to replace the outdated election system in Georgia. The state was using a system originally sold by Diebold, under the Premier Systems label.

Diebold sold their Premier subsidiary to ES&S, which was at the time the largest vendor of election systems in the US, in 2009. ES&S was sued over the acquisition on the grounds it would give them too large a market share. ES&S sold Premier to Dominion Voting Systems in 2010.

Dominion has operated Premier's legacy systems and provided software updates since then. Dominion also incorporated the Premier technology into their ImageCast ballot marking devices.

When Georgia chose the current system, they looked mainly at the newest version of the Premier system and the latest version of Dominion's ImageCast. Both products from the same vendor. The configuration they bought of the Dominion ImageCast system is designed to work the same way as the system they replaced.

Last Friday in Federal Court in Atlanta, in front of U.S. District Judge Amy Totenburg

Huddled around a voting machine in a federal courtroom, a small crowd watched as expert witness Alex Halderman demonstrated how someone could meddle with a Georgia election within seconds manipulating the Dominion Voting machines.

Halderman, a University of Michigan computer scientist, changed results of a hypothetical referendum on Sunday alcohol sales. He flipped the winner in a theoretical election between President George Washington and Benedict Arnold, the Revolutionary War general who defected to the British. He rigged the machine to print out as many ballots as he wanted.

All he needed was a pen to reach a button inside the touchscreen, a fake $10 voter card he had programmed, or a $100 USB device that he plugged into a cord connected to a printer, rewriting the touchscreen’s code.

Professor Halderman said:

Back in September 2020, the Court granted … Plaintiffs access to one of Georgia’s touchscreen ballot marking devices (BMDs) so that they could assess its security…I extensively tested the machine, and we discovered vulnerabilities in nearly every part of the system that is exposed to potential attackers.

The most critical problem we found is an arbitrary-code-execution vulnerability that can be exploited to spread malware from a county’s central election management system (EMS) to every BMD in the jurisdiction.

This makes it possible to attack the BMDs at scale, over a wide area, without needing physical access to any of them.

Our report explains how attackers could exploit the flaws we found to change votes or potentially even affect election outcomes in Georgia, including how they could defeat the technical and procedural protections the state has in place.”

This blockbuster admission and revelation in the court case has the power to change the outcome of the 2020 Presidential Election (revising the numbers) and setting an historic precedent to end electronic voting machines from coast to coast.

I'll try to check it out. We may need to change how we vote, but just saying a voting machine can be hacked is not equal to saying it was hacked. You would have to have proof. The proof is what has been missing in almost every cry of election fraud (2020 and the others before it). Without proof it's equivalent to saying a person could have murdered someone (opportunity) so they must have murdered someone (act).
