I don't like him either, he is a CA Pub which is basically a moderate Dem. He is completely transactional and needs power to pay off his backers who he has promised favors to. He loves governing by crisis which is how the Dems government. Wait till the last minute and say "Well, we have to do something and their is no time to discuss it". Remember, we have to pass the bill so you can find out what is in it? Dems shutting down the government over and over until they got all their pork projects funded?

The speaker's office and that authority is completely out of control and needs to be restored to the correct level so true governance can happen. Omnibus bills are an abomination and must be ended. Some want that and some don't. No matter what happens, many of these things we get corrected by the courageous congressmen who wouldn't be bullied by Kevin and the Pub leadership. You can thank them later.

Since McConnell and McCarthy just passed the Omnibus bill the government is funded till September, so not sure we really need them this year. It would probably save us all a lot of money.

Although I concur with your sentiment, I don’t think McCarthy voted for the Omnibus bill, or he was speaking against it.

Why were these decisions not made before everything got so screwed up. This could have all been rectified before hand if there was anyone with enough balls to do so.

The media is just making a huge deal out of something that has absolutely no bearing on the nation or the people. The Republicans will use control of the HOR to block Biden and the disastrous RATs ... period end of story. Legislation is not forthcoming with the RATs controlling the Senate and WH. In this case, gridlock is good.

Lady43, both of our congressional chambers are full of dumb, short -minded people who are I’ll- equipped to do the job at hand. Sadly, the Republicans are just the lesser of two evils. There are some fine people in congress, but they are vastly outnumbered by folks looking out for their own self interest. Brings to mind the old saying: Just follow the money!
