Dems aren't smart but they are ruthless. Biden is done. It's just a matter of time and when the puppet masters decide it's time to pull the plug they will not hesitate. They will either ease Biden out of the way or unceremoniously dump him. (Jill's Choice because Joe doesn't know if he's sitting in the oval office or sitting in his basement) Then they will pay Kamala and make whatever promises need to be made for her to fade into the background and then hand pick the next POTUS. Trump isn't winning and neither is a candidate that pulls 25% of the Pub base.
Since the 20 elections the Pubs had a chance to lose Trump the man but go all in on the policies that allowed Trump to enjoy around 90% support among their base. Instead, the statist power brokers in the Pub party thought a Trump defeat meant a victory for the old status quo. Now they are left with a party that depends on a block of over 50% of their base that hates the way they govern. Yeah, the election is coming up, let's go ahead and cave once again on the border and send a few more billions around the globe. Brilliant.
