Condolences and 1 thought

Man my heart goes out to Kirby as I lost my dad back in August and he so wanted to make it one more season of watching our dawgs! When you lose your dad you lose your teacher 💔

I sure wouldn’t want to be a kid that’s hitting portal in the midst of a lose like this. Can’t imagine walking into Kirby’s office and saying “um…coach…..I want to transfer”. Tough situation but maybe most of that has already been communicated

After watching a few ND games

They seem like a good team, but they are VERY turnover prone. Riley Leonard will put the ball in danger if we can make him throw the ball he does it every game. Their defensive scheme focuses a lot on man. We will see Arian Smith and Dom Lovett in a lot of single coverage if they can haul it in look for them to be vulnerable to deep shots. We are the fastest, strongest, and most talented team they have faced by a long shot. Im calling my shot Dawgs by 2-3 scores. The only way we lose this game is if we beat ourselves. Poor play calling and turnovers can lose it for us.

Happy to take my meds on my Tennessee pick

I had a hunch, despite Ohio State being at home and having the better roster, that Tennessee could beat them. I think Texas is soft and I don’t think Oregon has been tested sufficiently. I had a hunch Tennessee might make it to the finals but I wouldn’t have bet any money on it.

Instead, they didn’t show up in the first game. The $20 million roster won when they were embarrassed and desperate and at home. Should have seen it coming.

I’ve had an amazing percentage of correct predictions this season (I predicted our entire regular season in wins and losses….and the only game I lost money on was Auburn/Cal), but i whiffed on this one.

Driving from Clayton to the upstate last night

I listened to the Clemson game. Yall can complain about Scott Howard all you want. Don Munson has a high, squeaky, nasally pitch. Their version of Eric Zeier, whoever it is, would interrupt and react to a play before Don could even tell what was going on. Hard to listen to.

I did learn that the vaunted Clemson defense so many of you raved about was dead last in rush yards per attempt in the 4th quarter. Clemson was giving up over 6 yards an attempt in the 4th quarter.
