Did nothing to actually curb abortion. An ideological stance only that cost pubs a red wave. Full stop.

No one wants to admit. Regardless of anyone’s personal views, the country feels differently. Every freaking yoga studio in the country had a get out the vote to protect womens rights campaign. Those voters didn’t know what a midterm was until poked in the eye by the whole issue. Red tsunami was on if not for abortion issue. Stupid.

Over 10,000 children who would have been aborted since the Dobbs decision have now been born according to a report I read last week.

I'll take that in a heartbeat over another establishment GOP senator.
Do you have any plans to help support said children now that they’re alive? Or are you only pro-life pre-birth?

NO. Inflation was the biggest issue and polls reflected that was more important than the SC decision. This is just the latest narrative out of the deep state/media to give conservatives a crutch. (aka it wasn't voting shenanigans, it was the Supremes that did it).

Inflation should have hurt Democrats then. Dems are likely to win control of the Senate and the red wave to take house was a lot weaker than many expected. If inflation was the driving issue - the Senate & House would both be republican controlled today

Inflation was the biggest issue. But millions of folks who never gave a shit about congress or midterms showed up to vote solely due to abortion. Those millions were the difference.

You mean like the 81 million who showed up for Biden? I am not believing this swung elections as much as crooked county election officials did.

Trump was the most influential president in history when it comes to voting. A record number of people voted for him and 81 million voted for him to go the F home.

Stop blaming election fraud. Trump was anti elected. Were there some state voting laws adapted and some questionable things occuring at polls? Yes and they should be properly investigated. But there's literally zero hard evidence supporting the election being rigged or stolen... Sorry but a few eye witness reports and pseudo-documentaries don't convince me. Show me real proof.

Trump was voted out of office because more people hate him than were willing to live with him another four years

Hmm, I was referring to 2022 and he isn't on the ballot. And I never said fraud, but I have to stop blaming shenanigans that have been going on for for 200 years? Ok, but you know that Chicago and NYC have been voting dead people since the 1800's, but it doesn't happen now. Got it.

But 81 million voted for a vegetable? The news influence is strong in your opinions.

The only place you hear abortion being blamed is the main stream media. Coincidence?

Abortion is now their new social security will be cut by rebuglicans argument. And RACIST.
I can only speak on what I've seen. Every political ad I've seen from a democratic candidate in my area on TV mentioned abortion. Pretend all you want the left didn't lean on that issue but I believe it was top 2 in their strategy & especially effective at the 18-30 year old voter base

Oh I am sure it was but I am equally doubtful that is the winning argument that swung all of these races.
It will be their lightning rod issue forever because that is all they have. Meanwhile polling in the summer showed it was not the top 2 issues (economy and inflation were).

It just shows how morally bankrupt we’ve become, if the right to have an abortion superseded all of the other issues going on in this country. Too many folks value having the ability to have an abortion over ensuring we maintain a Constitutional Republic. Individual responsibility be damned.

I keep going back to : if economy and inflation were the driving issues of this election, why didn't republicans obliterate the competition last night

young emotionally driven voters saw my body my choice and the SC ruling as an attack on women, women's health, and women's rights by the evil white men in the republican party.

again, if the economy was so vital to the majority of voters, what happened yesterday?

Tell it to the yoga class. They voted in big numbers yesterday. Even conservative ones

I agree with you that abortion was certainly a contributing factor, but seems to me that candidate quality is a bigger issue. Abortion doesn't explain a giant gap between Kemp's % vs Walker's % or explain big wins in FL. There were plenty of R's that won last night that had the same abortion stance as the R's that lost.

This is the culmination of a decades long destruction of traditional family roles. Government has replaced the role of fathers for many single mothers. Part of this is due to the progressive movement inroads with women and part is due to too many men neglecting their responsibilities.

Unforced? I disagree. The ACLU forced it by going after a MS law. It was a no lose situation for them politically.

Abortion was # 1 in PA. Only way that Fetterman won. He won womens vote by 17%

Well people may hate Trump, but soon they are going to hate it when they can’t go and do what they want to, no freedom the government will dictate what and when you can do it Did I like Trump? Not completely, but I did like the fact we were energy independent, inflation less than 2%, more people off food stamps, highest employment, gas 2 $ per gallon, most powerful country in the world, more money in my account. I could keep going. Now under this administration we are week as a world power, inflation out of site and going up higher. Depending on our enemies for energy, food cost out of site, businesses going broke and much more. If you like what is happing now I guess you like Biden and thus administration. I hope you are ready for the tougher times we face. Don’t tell me we can do with solar and wind mills to provide our energy, you are not that gullible I hope. No I didn’t completely like Trump a 100% at all time but I like my freedom, could operate my business, wasn’t being told what to do, had a life. We are headed for a day when we have no freedom, we will be told what we can and can’t do by the big government, they want to control you. No I definitely don’t like the lies being told by Biden and what he stands for. Don’t want socialism where we are headed. It will destroy this country. Never has worked and never will. Give me Trump or someone like him so I can exist. Do we want someone we have to like or one that can run the country’s business the way it should be so we can live free

Trump is the biggest liar and piece of s..t I have ever witnessed in my life. He is all about himself except when he sucks up to Putin. He could care less about America and our democracy. He is bad for democracy and bad for the free world. That anyone can look at and listen to that man and think he is good for our country is beyond me. I say declare him "king," so he feels good about himself, and lock him up in his Florida castle.

Difference is that the rally cry has to do with what congress has the power to do - vote for or against legislation. Governors can’t do that.

I think Trump was a good president from the actions side. Actions speak louder than words but Trump's words are loud, annoying, and triggering. I'm ready to move on from him

That’s all great. But if he can’t be elected and drags down others’ electability, he needs to move on.

I as a woman with two beautiful children will say that I do NOT believe in abortion, but believe a woman has the right to make that decision. She will meet her maker at the Pearly Gates and atone for her decision.

This article doesn't mention orange man or fraud, but what else would you call it? Fabricating votes to achieve a desired outcome?

This exact same method was used 2 years ago to great effect in House races in NY and California. Is it a mere coincidence that it takes days or weeks to count votes in close races, but never in the races that aren't close?

"Ortiz couldn’t say why results in Pueblo are taking relatively longer to report than some other counties in CD3 since they’re following the same rules as the other counties in Colorado; there are many factors that contribute to the speed of reporting election results."

To a hammer, everything looks like a nail.

To a victim, everything seems like an attack. To a racist baiter, everything seems racist. To someone looking for more evidence of election fraud, everything looks like election fraud

Let me ask you guys this. Would you accept a referendum on abortion? That would take it away from elected public officials. Personally I wish individual counties could vote to make the decision.

Exactly. Rs are actually winning the popular vote nationwide by 6%+ right now. You had some great R house candidates in NY that pulled some shockers and created huge swings in the bluest of states, and many other good candidates come within points of 15+ Biden districts in places like VA.

Attributing individual race losses to abortion I don't believe is accurate at all. It's a factor but it is down the list. Pick better people.

These young women that graduated from these radical universities are already brainwashed and it’s showing in the voteing booths.
I thought that conservatives were the experts on indoctrination and brainwashing with their private schools and churches. What most conservatives really fear is their indoctrination getting undone by their children learning to think critically and realizing they live in a big, complicated world.

Should they be indoctrinated to love Communism because that’s what happening. Sounds like you’re fine with that.

I really don't think that's the case. There are those who believe having any social safety net or role for government is communism, but there is a vast middle ground. As far as education, college is a logical time for young people to re-evaluate things and form opinions of their own. In many cases, they tend to be somewhat idealistic which creates issues but they usually moderate their views over time. It's just frightening for those who think children should have the world view from where they grew up. If you're too insistent teaching your kids what you believe is right and wrong then it only stands to reason that they should at least evaluate that for themselves.
