Republicans in congress know damned well Trump pulled their asses to a majority. Biden wasn’t popular in midterms either but republicans still underperformed. This was trump. And they know it.

But the party needs cleaning out. IMO a few will join with Collins, the fake Repub, to block legislation. The Republicans had the House and Senate in 2017 and as usual did nothing with it.

I saw Elon state they are already putting work into the 2026 elections. They need to get rid of some of the uni-party creatures in red states - Graham in SC and Crenshaw in Texas to name a couple. Fortunately Romney is gone, but more needs to be done.
