Biden just announced he is planning an initiative

I’m for term limits for everyone in Washington DC, power corrupts big time, and folks need to go. Lifetime appointments make no sense.

Pandering to ignorant voters? It is in the Constitution. Just a stupid thing to say by Obiden and MSN.
They ignore the fact that many of the court cases are decided with bipartisan vote.
When I was young it was a given that the SCOTUS was to be respected, revered, untouched and beyond reproach. Blaming them now because your party doesn’t get their way is petty, irresponsible and dangerous.

Put them all on term limits.
Term limits on Congress brought up tonight at RNC by speaker. It would cure the corrupt scumbags like Biden and Menedez who sell out the country to line their pockets.
All Biden wants to do is term limit and then pack the court because of a couple rulings he didn’t like. The only threat to democracy are the Dems. They want to destroy our institutions and even though they held a primary because the brain dead idiot who’s been in the WH may not win they want to disregard the results of the voting public, toss him out and insert a new choice not selected by the people. THAT is a threat to our democracy.

Not only blaming them but lighting a fire under them so protestors were terrorizing them at their homes. Democrats have seriously lost their minds. The party has been taken over by socialist idiots

I have mixed emotions on term limits. I had the opportunity to hear the wife of a congressman speak in a casual setting about the subject and she said she was a strong proponent of term limits when her husband was elected. What they quickly learned is that it takes "time - even a year or more" to learn how the system really works and who the power brokers are in politics. She wasn't just talking about elected officials either. She thought it really took two terms for a congressman to be able to exert any real change because of the learning curve and not being able to tell who your real friends are.
Additionally, term limits must accompany some form of lobbyist reform. Otherwise, it will be a revolving door of new electees that will be guided and influenced extensively by lobbyist who are trying to "help" the new guy. The only constant would be the lobbyist and unions.
With all that said, I am a term limit supporter. But maybe it should not be just two terms. Senators two terms, congressmen 4?

Biden was talking about term limits for justices. What Biden is trying to do is remove the lifetime appointments that are designed to encourage justices to avoid making political decisions and turn the court into a political body.

Rest assured, if Biden wants term limits for justices it is to benefit liberals only and to give them the upper hand. When he gets decisions that he doesn’t like then that is when he wants to change the rules.

If term limits are even constitutional, they are a terrible idea. Great way to create a revolving door with big business.
Even assuming it’s constitutional, it would take 60 senators and a house majority to pass such a measure.

Wouldn’t a bill have to go to the House? Or get 3/4 of the state legislatures? Yeah Joe, good luck with that.
