There are 20,000 people in a city of 60,000 that werent there 4 years ago. Do you have the slightest bit of empathy for the townspeople ? Or do you just want to be "right"?

Immigration and AI are the biggest economic and security issues in the future. Don’t trust any politician that doesn’t have very nuanced plans for how to deal with them both. The surest way to ramp up inflation is to kick out all the “illegals” in one fell swoop. It’s the dirty little secret of the American middle class, it requires a underclass to work by keeping the prices of consumer goods low.

I agree with this but we also ramp up inflation by allowing them in and paying for their food, housing and care. It would ramp up inflation either way. In the long term it would be better to bring in immigrants under a system that registers them and keeps track of them. If they do not abide by the rules they are deported. Then we can actually determine the costs and the benefits of the influx of these immigrants. These would be better for the country as a whole. The fastest solution usually is not the best.
