There’s a story headline for ya @Anthony Dasher @Radi Nabulsi . Not much to say about Stetson that hasn’t already been said, but these seem like appropriate bookends to one of the most improbable, unprecedented stories in all of sports. A kid who went from just wanting a chance to suit up in the red and black, to getting a curtain call after a 6 TD performance in a back-to-back national championship effort.
Still working on one for this year, but here’s a little summary I put together for last year’s natty, if you want to reminisce:
What a night to remember… Lucas Oil quaked with the roars of red and black. Grown men barked at children. Noses were broken by hobnail boots. The defense hunkered down. The Mailman delivered. Ringo was a star. Even the crowd became a constellation. Sugar fell out of the sky. Grown men wept like children. Property was destroyed. The Dawgs of Athens, GA were indeed elite and became National Champions for the first time in 41 years.
