How do you honestly feel about Biden potentially becoming president? I realize that part of your goal is to get rid of Trump by any means necessary, but do you really feel that much better about Biden? Especially with some of his senile actions in recent weeks/months.

I'm not here to judge or criticize, I'm genuinely curious.

I wish Biden was younger. He makes gaffes and sounds a little slower than he is due to his stammer. i'll take a crafty pitcher that throws in the high 80's over Trump. Tbh, I would take a mange dog from Frog****, AL over Trump.

Up here in New Hampshire we've seen a lot of signs that say "Any Functioning ADULT 2020," and I think that's apt (there are plenty of Trump signs too, not as many Joe signs, etc. Indeed, more BLM than Joe).

Biden was not my first second or third choice, but he seems to have been 1,2, or 3 for enough voters. So, while I am not "over the moon" about it, I do feel much much better about Biden than the alternative. His supposed senility, which doesn't contrast all that poorly to Trump's declining verbal function, nor his increased hostility, his daily spew of racial antagonism, and his unwillingness to simply do the job.

I feel like a Biden presidency will feature three things that will be of genuine benefit to all: 1) He won't be as newsworthy, so we'll all have a lot less drama in our lives. 2) He will reinstate a lot of the environmental protections that the Trump administration has carved away. and 3) He will restore a functioning government. In all this, people forget that Trump put unqualified people and/or questionable retreads in a lot of places, most notably Redfield at the CDC, and here we are.

I will now return to enjoying the lovely New Hampshire air.

The Trump secretary of education pick was absolutely laughable. She's a complete moron.

For ALL his flaws, Trump has been surprisingly good on the environment. He’s done way more than the previous president(s) to preserve public lands and keep federal lands in the hands of the federal government where it belongs.

WTF are you mumbling? He's tried to dismantle clean water rules / law, opened national reserves to oil and mining, tried to roll back emissions requirements, and those are just for starters. You are a fool who's been fooled.

BTW_Monday the Supreme Court AGAIN ruled against another of Lying Donnie's executive order. This one exempting the Keystone XL Pipeline project from environmental review. That is the THIRD time in 8 days Lying Donnie has lost a SS court case after he though Moscow Mitch had put the fix in place. Can hardly wait to see his tax return details.

If Biden were to just reinstate all the fired Justice Dept oversight prosecutors and inspector generals it would be a win for the country. A bonus would be actually listening to an intelligent briefing and reading his daily brief. OH! And show up to do the people's business before noon.

What's Trump's record in the SCOTUS?
What's Obama's record in the SCOTUS?

commom core must be your benchmark.

What are you meaning by that. Common sucks but Betsy Devos has never had anything to do with public education yet thrown into secretary of education. I'm a Trump supporter but that was a stupid move.

The problem with many people is they fall into the line of thinking that if they support someone, then everything that person does is right. Just because you voted for someone and will vote for someone again doesn't mean you have to agree with everything they do. I voted for Kemp. Do I think he is the best governor ever? No I don't but he's a heck of a lot better than the alternative was.

I am not a lib but I can tell they don't care Trump represents the real American dream and they don't like it.Most of libs prefer socialism
because they believe in some Utopian dream that some educator that being paid by tax payer as told them about. They have been working on this for 60 years and gradually getting in place with both political Parties. The Trump revolution at the polls as slowed downed their plans and they are scared and will stop at nothing to defeat him. Make no mistake Trump is the only thing that stands in the way of the socialist /communist Democratic party goal for total Government control of out finances and our lives

If Biden wins they will get him out and their VP will take over.

Trump should dismantle the dept. of education along with half of the other agencies in dc. This shutdown has shown that it is really nothing more than a massive day care and food distribution program... with some indoctrination to boot.

I'm not a lib but will be classified as one since I don't support Trump. Can it be worse? At the very least Biden will listen to people who know more than he does. He will not try to tell Mattis he doesn't understand something like NATO. So yes, that's a huge step in the right direction. The reason Republican former POTUS' have not supported Trump is obvious. They know what the job entails and they know he has no ability to do it and they know we're in trouble on the international stage.

But I like his policies. I’d rather go with a jerk with correct policy than a senile old liar whose policies I totally disagree.

Not sure I want a business man touching education. As I said, I am huge trump supporter but the best thing to do would be to fine a competent secretary of education. So what is your suggestion on how to fix education? I'm an educator so I'm not asking to be a jerk. I'm seriously curious.

Dismantling of dept of education is risky. Allowing the states to decide how to run their education sounds good in theory but very dangerous. Special needs kids could be neglected without being protected federally.

She has no idea what she's doing. The school choice initiative will cause way more damage to public schools.
Everyone should be able to decide what school their kid goes to! Why do you disagree? Every parent should decide where their kid goes to school

Please show me in the Constitution where the Federal Government has any role in education.

So many issues. First I agree with Reagan... education should be local. Second... the unions which control the teachers as well as the bureaucrats have way too much power. Getting rid of bad teachers and seniority is a must. This problem is not limited to education because of the advent of public sector unions which are just plain crazy. Third... the basics should be the primary focus of education... reading, writing and arithmetic. Actual history should be taught as well... not a feel good inclusive version. And then there is the need for discipline which is another subject all together.

I see no way that any of this happens btw. We are too far gone. the only chance is the balkanization of the country where certain enclaves could prosper... at least until the left ruins these areas as well.

I thank you for your efforts as I am sure you are fighting the good fight. I'm just glad that my daughter is grown and her kids will go to private school... that is if one of the several in Charleston still teaches western civ at that time.

It doesn't and in most cases, i'd agree that we don't need federal overseeing. But for things like special education, there has to be some universal protection.

Again, this sounds good in theory but this is what happens. It begins with people wanting to go to School A. This school is a popular school with better sports teams that everyone wants to attend (mainly for social status). Most schools in each district have the same quality teachers spread throughout the district. What happens is that the middle class and up (that aren't in private schools) can afford to carry transport their kids back and forth to school A and they do. This leaves school B, C and D with low income, low parent involvement. As a teacher, this is part of what we sign up for and strive to do our best with these at risk kids. The problem however is the state looks at data and test scores and schools B,C,D are seen as low performing schools even though they have been put at a huge disadvantage by kids moving out. Then it snowballs because no one wants their kid at a low performing school when one of the main reason it's low performing is because people left.
