It isn’t just the election result that proved DJT right, his first week does too….

On immigration, we were told the border was secured, and the only way to make it better was congressional legislation. The Biden admin’s hands were tied by republicans doing DJT’s bidding. We were told it couldn’t be done by executive order or executive action on existing law.

Now we are watching criminal aliens with violent records being removed by the thousands.

Question for democrats: what does that say about what the Biden admin has been doing? Willfully at best, criminally negligent at worst….just allowing violent illegal aliens to do what they do in the US.

We were told Trump had lost it. He couldn’t keep up. Couldn’t form complete sentences (@willdup?). What we have seen the first week whether you like the policy or not is the most efficient and effective execution of policy in Federal Gov history.

We were told Trump would target political enemies. Put media folks in cages. We were told he would shut down free speech.

What we have seen is big tech admit they had been shutting down free speech at the behest of the Biden admin. If “revenge” means firing ineffective people and saving money? If “revenge” means requiring guys like Fauci (not a federal employee and now very wealthy due to book deals, speeches) to fund their own security? If “revenge” means saving American taxpayers $420M in the first week by eliminating DEI in federal government?

Guilty as charged.

The death knell wasn’t just the election. It will be the effectiveness of what we were told was impossible or wouldn’t work.

If Trump is successful, the Dems will have to completely re-invent themselves in “Hitler’s” image to win another election.

All dumbocrata do is lie. I am sure Harris would have gotten all this good reception Trump got in LA or Las Vegas. First, she would have never gone, dozens of word salads, and would have tried to blame Trump!

Rewarding lifetime politicians with executive leadership never made sense to me. A governor is one thing, but the only experience a congressman has is kissing ass and voting.

Leadership experience and success in the private sector is by far the best formula for President of the US. It means being accountable for results, experience in running things, negotiating…..with your own money! Taking that formula and being responsible for taxpayer money and American interests….The Mandolorian can finish this post.

What is being exaggerated? More importantly. Why wasn’t this done a few weeks ago? We were told it was impossible without Congress.

While the Trump team is executing Project 2025 exactly as promised, it seems a little early for a victory lap, lowcountry.

I could list the various embarrassments of the last week, but I’ve promised myself to avoid engaging on a day by day basis.

It remains unclear how anything accomplished so far is going to curb inflation, but we will see. Blanket 25% tariffs on all imports from Canada and Mexico certainly won’t help, but maybe it’s all a negotiating ploy.

Let’s talk in April and see how all those key economic indicators and international relations are looking.

You stick to the talking points of the left without hesitation. You have gone back to the unreasonable Will from prior to the election. Yes Trump is an arrogant ass but he has done some things that needed to be and that he promised to do. The handling of the border and recognizing just 2 genders is something the vast majority of Americans have wanted to see.

List them. Don’t hold back. Would hate to be embarrassed. I want us to be globally popular. That’s what makes me feel good personally. Tell is what that means. List them out. If they exist.

You won’t be able to decide anything about the economy in April. It will take years or proper leadership to overturn what the Biden admin did.

Interesting tone to your comments. You seem a bit chippy for a guy who is getting everything he hoped for out of the new POTUS.

My list includes but it not limited to the following:

Pardons
14th Amendment
Greenland
Pete Hegseth (wildly unqualified professionally and personally compromised)

I don’t expect you to see any of these and other issue as I do, with perhaps the exception of the 300 or so pardons for the people responsible for felony violence against the LEOs defending the Capitol.

Trump keeps touting the Gilded Age as the time of the greatest national wealth and wants to use tariffs to get us back there. If this country weren’t entirely ignorant of basic national history, we’d understand that during the Guilded Age, the country was run by a very small group of extremely wealthy individuals, there were no workers rights, no racial or sexual equality and wealth disparity was at its most extreme in our history (of course we are challenging that now).

Oh, and it wasn’t by any measure our most productive economic period. It was a great time to be an ultra wealthy white Protestant male though.

I’ll look forward to your thoughts on these topics but as I’ve said before, I’m out of the business of day to day debates. We’ve had enough back a forth that at this point I could probably write your response for you so there isn’t much point.

Cheers.

There are legit arguments that I may not agree with but are legit in your list. My issue is the same as it has always been. Your issues are all about optics, embarrassment, and prognostications about “what could
Possibly happen”. Rarely about a tangible result that truly affects Americans. And it is in this category that I think the dude has proven his chops.

Even if you don’t like the policy, will
You admit the competency in enacting the policy has been impressive? And a total vindication against the “he can’t complete a sentence” Crowd? A complete 180
From the feckless admin we have had? It may not be the leadership you want, but it is competent leadership.

How do you explain the Biden admin not doing universally accepted things like deporting violent criminals? Instead claiming their hands were tied by Congress. Obviously not.

I like the DEA and CBP busting the club in Colorado for TdA members. Very convenient and thoughtful of them to get picked up in one place. Shows you how much money they were making

BTW, CBP means Customs and Border Protection, not Customs and Border Patrol. I see news anchors constantly making this mistake.

You would have listed tariffs before yesterday. And there have always been rich people. Their existence is not limited to “eras”

The DoD is totally corrupted to the extent that we didn’t even use several new Navy ships. We just scrapped them. We have hundreds of generals and admirals. Hegseth will clean up that mess. You read that he’s a greenhorn, so it’s not your fact but something somebody, probably like Schiff or that other Scumbag senator from CA, wrote. We don’t need 100,000 soldiers in Europe. What are they doing? A friend spent two years in Korea sitting in a tank. Just sitting in a tank. A potion of them should be put to work, like the corps of engineers rebuilding NC and LA.

Add bypassing the Coastal Commission and permitting to list for LA and
Using Corps of Engineers in NC to his first list of ideas and accomplishments in his first week.

I forgot to add the TrumpCoin personal enrichment crypto play to my list. That should probably be number two behind the pardons.

I'm not surprised at all that the new administration has been so productive in moving their agenda forward. The 922 page detailed playbook for the new administration was completed in April of 2023 and the various authors of that playbook are being installed across DC, as we knew they would be. None of this requires particular competence or capabilities from Trump, but I'll agree he is setting the tone and moving with determination in enabling his people. I understand why you are pleased.

I'll note that my friends on here repeatedly told us that Project 2025 was not representative of what we would see from the new administration, and they were dead wrong. Of course it's exactly what we are seeing. But hey, to the victors go the spoils.

I stand by my earlier contention that tariffs, mass deportations (not criminal deportations, but the promised broader initiatives) and increased tension between us and our allies will lead to more, not less, inflation. Hope I'm proven wrong.

Tune in over time. If the things he does have a positive impact on Americans, im
Here for it regardless of how it is labeled or someone’s version of “embarrassing”. Peace and prosperity. Effective leadership.

If things are done that don’t work or hurt Americans, I’ll be the first one to admit it.

“But but project 2025!!!” Don’t know anything about project 2025. I just know I like what is happening so far.

I didn't say "but, but' about Project 2025. They built a detailed plan, they communicated that plan, and now they are executing against that plan by installing the co-authors in the needed positions of power to make it happen.

Now, there was a reason that Trump aggressively distanced himself from Project 2025 during the campaign to the point of claiming ignorance of what it was. There was much that was found to be politically unpopular and unpalatable by all but the most MAGA voters. But Trump is in office, he doesn't have to worry about re-election, and he says getting 49.9% of the vote is a mandate, so here we go. Let's see how things develop.

I'm sure you can understand my eye rolling skeptical reaction to the dangers of "Project 2025." It was one of a hundred narratives during the campaign used to instill fear of a Trump 2.0 Presidency. Given the fact that 99 of those 100 narratives were total bullshit, I'll believe the dangers of P'25 when I see it. In the meantime, I'm a big fan of allowing capitalism to work as intended, freedom, and policy / execution that looks out for American Interests, and I won't hold my breath until we see journalists in cages and Liz Cheney in front of a firing squad....you know, the "enemy from within" targeted by guys like Trump and Musk....aka Hitler and Herman G?

I think day seven is a little early for either side to be making assessments of the effectiveness of Trump 2.0. That's why I suggested picking this conversation back up in three months when we have a little more substantive information to go on.

I would argue that 50 percent of the vote probably translates to 60 percent of folks who approve of his policy. The difference being the 10M+ who just can’t stand the person. Or how many folks in CA and NY knew he had no chance so didn’t vote. But dig his policy? Dude has a mandate for common sense. And that’s what he’s bringing.

Some things from 2025 are being done. But not the really nasty stuff the left likes to claim. They want to strike fear in the hearts of their voters. Here is an idea. How bout a reality check. Your policies don’t work. No Fear of cancellation is actually so nice to see. Holding moronic California politicians accountable for lying to the cameras. A president who actually does an interview and tells you what he is doing. What a novel concept. Even better to have one to send criminal illegals back to the correct cola!

Lying to the camara? Do you think Trump sent the US military into CA and had them "turn on the water" in the Pacific Northwest (which isn't actually California)? The pumps that were turned off for maintenance for three days (during the current administration) were turned back on, and not by the US military. This is some crazy, delusional stuff from Trump.

Did you know that under the Biden administration that there were 475 flights from the US to Colombia returning illegal migrants? There were over 124 in the last year alone and there were no issues with the Colombian government. Why is it that we have an issue as soon as Trump continues the same process?

Maybe because instead of using civilian transport, Trump decided that shackled detainees on costlier military transports would play better for Fox news. Did you know that the negotiated settlement resulted in the return to detainees arriving on civilian transport and unshackled, just as had happened 475 times under Biden?

I'm guessing you didn't know any of that, but you can correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll give Trump credit, MSM doesn't even bother to push back at this point.

Yes. The mayor was lying to the camera. Point blank. That she had sped up the timeline. When she had just told citizens two days earlier it was 18 months. Where in the hell do you think they got those numbers from. Thin air? Several people from the palisades have been interviewed and confirmed her line of bullshit.

I never said what Trump posted to Twitter was the truth. I was just telling tiv what it was in response to. I have no idea what the water situation is in California. I was repeating in the above paragraph what has been confirmed to be true. And most times these days if any lefty is speaking to a camera, it is likely a lie. Too big a sample size of horseshit out there to think otherwise

Any attempt to defend the border policy of Joe Biden is futile. From messaging to execution / enforcement, it has been an absolute disaster.

Speaking of messaging, do you not think that the images of bad guys getting led into military planes back home sends a powerful message to would-be bad guys attempting to illegally enter the country? The proof is already there in terms of border encounters. Messaging works. Biden said "come on over. we will pay for all your stuff." Trump says: "don't come here. you will be escorted right back." And the more that media covers all these "terrible" things, the more effective it is.

You aren't wrong that a more private / commercial type flight would have been more economical....for that one flight. But how do you value the countless number of flights that will never have to take place based on the deterrent factor of Trump's messaging, including yes....the image of bad guys getting led into military planes in cuffs. It is very smart. The point isn't that it plays well on Fox News. The point is that it plays well for the World, and let's everyone know, especially bad guys......don't even try to illegally enter America.

It's just incredible to watch history being made while all dims, even the most powerful, have been suppressed and made totally irrelevant.

hakeem is so unhinged that he is holding some meaningless hearing today on, yep.......................Jan 6!!!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

After 7 days the mfers are so desperate, I wouldn't be surprised to find out they are planning a 3rd assassination attempt.

Pew Research Institute showing him close to 60% approval after the first week. Democrats better listen to Carville and Axelrod on continuing the complaints about immigration enforcement with almost 85% of Americans supporting it.
Supports the mandate discussion. He won “only” 50 percent of the vote. I contend another 10 million would have voted for him if it were purely about policy / results. His mandate on policy is solid

The only real dings were 55% disapproved of the clemency and about 55% disapproved of the birthright executive order.

Amazing how Trumps 4D chess confuses people especially on things like Greenland and the 14th Amendment

Careful now.

Birthright citizenship will never pass. Announcing it as new policy is a very effective deterrent. Plain and simple. Once again the dude not caring about being globally popular makes him an effective vehicle for good outcomes.

4D chess on Birthright. The goal is a Constitutional amendment. Probably won't get close to 3/4 of Congress even tho Dems losing lots of Senate and House seats. Good time to attempt ( for the first time) getting 2/3 of the states to pass legislation for the amendment and get 3/4 of the states to ratify. Lots of red states these days and people are extremely unhappy with Bidens open borders and what it has done to the country.

I can tell by how much you write in your responses that you are truly triggered....it's glorious.

You should save your time and energy.

It's because every prediction he's made in the past year or so (all in favor of Dems) has been wrong. Like laughably, horribly wrong.

A few cliff notes:
  • 2022 midterms was a referendum on Trump and a sign of a "blue wave" in 2024.
  • Biden was not only cognitively sound, but was actively trolling the GOP in the previous TWO SOTU addresses. (He didn't acknowledge Biden's dementia until the first debate with Trump -- after 99.9% of the country had already seen it for years.)
  • The process by which the Dems stole Biden's nomination and handed it to Kamala without a vote was not only completely acceptable, but was the right choice.
  • Kamala was going to energize the Dem vote turnout (the "first party to drop their old guy candidate wins" theory).
  • Trump was absolutely finished after the first debate with Kamala, because she answered the questions voters wanted to hear.
  • Trump, not Biden, was the one in cognitive decline, and can't even speak in full sentences.

So now, after the longest streak of wrong predictions in board history, he's back to his usual "muh Jan 6", "muh Project 2025" and "Trump is a fascist who is basically/literally Hitler". It's not surprising that attitude would make a person miserable.

Man you are a blind hypocrite.
