Much like Ms. Peters herself, you fail to understand that her supposed relationship with God has nothing to do with her sentencing. Perhaps she should have refreshed herself with the scripture before she committed multiple felonies and embarked on a MAGA barnstorming tour in search of fame and cash. I’m pretty sure she could find some advice on contrition and forgiveness if she really looked.

Tina Peters' case arose from the Secretary of State's ordered "software update" carried out by vendor personnel in 62 Colorado counties, wiping out election records from the 2020 election just months after the election, in April through August of 2021. Destroying election records less than 24 months after an election (or longer if ordered preserved as evidence in court) violates state and federal law.
No "software update" should delete data. In Dominion's Democracy Suite 5.11, you have to change a setting in the software to delete records from previous elections.
No responsible "software update" would be carried out without first backing up system data, especially when such data is required to be preserved by state and federal law. Where are the forensic copies of EMS hard drives to preserve compliance?
Where are the state and federal investigations and prosecution for those crimes, carried out in 62 Colorado counties? Where is the outrage about that, for one concerned with having "found the election fraud?"

The topic of whether the update was deleting protected “election records” was definitely covered during the trial and apparently the jury did not agree with your characterization of the issue or find it to be a mitigating factor. If you have a problem with the trial or the findings of the jury you can take it up with them.

Yes, I've read that article. According to prosecutor Robert Shapiro in his closing remarks as quoted in the linked article, his case was not about computers or election records. I'm missing the part where the jury found that the deleted election data was not part of protected election records under Colorado and federal law. The Federal Elections Commission, and now the EAC, also disagree with that claim. For further information on the required retention of records, you might want to check out the federal EAC's Voting System Standards of 2002. Log files are necessary to document chain of custody of ballots and summary documents in any proper post-election audit.
Just for fun, try destroying chain of custody records of evidence in a criminal trial, and see what happens.
At any rate, there was no need to delete election records in order to perform maintenance on the Dominion software, according to their own documentation.

She didn't make any specific claims here about how and if she's talking about Russian interference, the Russians did interfere. She can believe it made a difference if she wants to. Trump was investigated and was found to not have colluded with the Russians. This woman was investigated and found guilty.

Here is a summary of some of the issues addressed. Credit to James Connor (@tojamesconnor).
1. The evidence presented in Jack Smith’s filing all comes from Trump insiders under oath. People within Trump’s circle of trust. Republicans dedicated to Trump.
2) Before election day, Trump told campaign insiders that he would declare victory regardless of the results.
That he would assert that only votes on election day counted.
Reason? Trump wanted to exclude mail-in ballots that he knew favored Biden (despite having voted by mail himself).
3) By November 13th, Trump knew he had no evidence of election fraud and had the lost legal challenges that could allow him to win the election. By November 13th!
Still, Trump continued to lie publicly about election fraud.
4) Lawyers and campaign insiders repeatedly told Trump that his claims of election fraud were untrue, were “bullshit,” and they would be slaughtered in court. Trump responded, “The details don’t matter.”
When Trump couldn’t get respectable lawyers to do what he wanted, Trump hired new, crackpot lawyers who would.
5) Mike Pence was loyal up to the end. Pence repeatedly tried to talk Trump down and accept defeat as “an intermission” and advised that Trump could run again in 2024.
6) Trump “personally set the fake electors plan in motion in early December, ensured it was carried out by co-conspirators and campaign agents in the targeted states, and monitored its progress.”
7) Many fake electors in the fake elector plot were conned. Alternate electors were told that they would only be used if Trump prevailed in legal cases, and when others figured out what they were doing was illegal, they were replaced.
It was a scramble up to December 14th to get fake electors assembled and fake documents signed.
Trump was repeatedly updated during the entire process and gave public tweets saying the election could not be certified to provide cover for these fake electors.
8) Pence repeatedly refused to go along with the fake electors’ scheme. On January 1st, Trump told Pence: “Hundreds of thousands of people are going to hate your guts… You’re too honest.”
9) As Trump’s pressure campaign on Pence ramped up, Pence kept notes. At one point, having 5 pages of contemporaneous notes from a meeting of all the batshit crazy stuff Trump was asserting and how Trump wanted Pence to throw out the lawful certifications.
On January 5th, when Pence refused—yet again, Trump threatened Pence: “I’m going to have to say you did a great disservice.”
10) Trump knew Pence had refused repeatedly to go along with the fake electors’ scheme when Trump issued a public statement on January 5th—a lie giving false hopes to supporters attending the rally on January 6th: “The Vice President and I are of total agreement that the Vice President has the power to act…”
11) When Trump spoke at the Ellipse on January 6th, he knew Pence wouldn’t throw out the legally certified electors.
Trump knew his only hope to delay the certification of Joe Biden as president is the angry mob before him—which is why Trump encouraged them to march down to the Capitol.
Trump lied to the crowd about false election claims. Trump lied to crowd that states didn’t mean to certify and wanted their certifications back.
12) Trump watched the mob attack the Capitol on TV.
Even after the attack, when Trump learned that certification would still proceed later that night, around 7PM, Trump directed REDACTED to make phone calls to Republican Senators to try to stop certification.
Jack Smith has voicemails of those messages.
13) It’s still shocking how close America came to losing our democracy on January 6th, 2024. Trump’s coup nearly succeeded.
Utterly shocking to see this evidence laid out and realize that corrupt judges on SCOTUS have kept Trump from being held accountable for his crimes up to now.
When you see this mountain of evidence, it sure looks like Trump isn’t running to help America. He’s running to make this case go away and stay out of jail.

I have not paid that much attention to this case. Only thing I know is it will play out in court and whatever decision is handed down, will trust is the correct one.
So, a former POTUS and current candidate is accused of abrogating his oath to protect and defend the Constitution, in a case supported by testimony under oath of 87 people, many of whom were top advisors or even his own VP, and your view is simply "wait and see"?
Multiple republican staffers have testified that Trump knew he lost the election, knew he was lying when he made accusations of fraud, knew what he was doing when he threatened Pence, knew what he was doing when he sent to mob to the Capitol and was happy when the mob rioted. Multiple people testified that Trump drove the fake elector scheme and was trying to force Pence to stop certification to create time to execute that scheme, and that his reputable legal team told him the fake electors plot was not legal or constitutional.
It seems to me that the choice in binary. Either you believe that all 87 republicans who testified under oath about Trump and the election were all lying and are all willing to subject themselves to prison for perjury just to get Trump, or you don't believe any of that and feel the accusations are well supported. If you fall in the latter camp and still vote for Trump, I'm not sure how you can say you still believe in the Constitution as our foundational national document and basis for our legal framework.

Dude…..I just said I don’t know and have not been following this case much if any. My approach and wait see is equal to the court system of this country. Does it look bad, yeah I am not an idiot that doesn’t look good. But the court system is there for a reason. As it stands now it doesn’t look good for the Don based on this.

The answer is if you find voter fraud, report it. If there is evidence of wrongdoing, it will be found out and prosecuted. This woman is a good example. The evidence will be there.
