Her crimes came after the election. She was found guilty on several counts, including three counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, first-degree official misconduct, violation of duty, and failure to comply with the secretary of state.

I think what you do is, first and foremost, don't break the law, don't knowingly break the law, and if you do, don't leave a digital trail that proves you knowingly broke the law and took action that you knew could send you to prison.
