What is the latest a grown man should sleep in?

Who the hell goes on a date with their wife every single weekend? She must not let him hang out with the boys anymore.
No, man. Try to be an adult.

I’m bothered by posts like “I suspect most in here are homebodies with very little excitement in their lives”.

I’m bothered by posts like “if you like tennis that’s why your wife is crossing the gym to hook up with an alpha male like me”.

Also, did you know the he lifts in the same gym as Koepka? He’s mentioned it 10 times or so.
I’m sorry you don’t like your wife …Who doesn’t take their wife out for a date every weekend is the real question? Most folks have kids and work and don’t spend much time with them during the week.

I personally look forward to spending a night out with mine once a week.

I’m up at 530 pretty much every morning I work. I’ve been a midnight to 530-600 since I was in high school. But if my kids are gone to grandparents or something, and I’ve got a weekend day off, being a golf pro, I’m usually working at least one weekend day, I’ll sleep till 10. Sue me!!!

Have fun running errands w your wife while the rest of us are playing golf and drinking w the guys like most happily married men who aren’t insecure about their micro penis and Affliction t shirts

I like my wife and my fellow Venter’s wives enough to not post obnoxious things like you did:

“Well I don’t talk about Tennis ... I leave that to the Beta side of the room ...you know the guys who’s wives are wishing they were on my side of the room”.

Which venters wife did I talk about? I seem to have struck a nerve with you :)

You must play tennis!!!!

Told my doctor that my father had vascular dementia. He immediately ordered a sleep study. Sure enough, I had bad apnea. For the last seven years, I religiously use the CPAP. I go to bed at 10:30 and get up at 5:50, totally refreshed and ready to go. Didn’t realize what a bad sleeper I was beforehand. Life changer. The inner recesses of my brain get the oxygen that my dad’s did not, according to my doctor.

My body, due to work for so many years now, won't let me sleep much past 6 or 7, even on weekends. I'll try to sleep in a little on Saturday if no plans but it's a struggle. Then I end up feeling groggy all day.

I usually get up at 2:00 in the morning, run 10 miles, come back home and meditate for an hour before having an egg white omelette with a side of alfalfa sprouts (organic, of course). I then bake fresh muffins (organic, of course) and deliver them to all the homeless shelters in town before arriving at the office by 7:00 a.m.

I’m embarrassed to admit that I was feeling a little under the weather this past Saturday and slept in until 2:30.

I don’t like tennis but I can make that point without sophomoric insults ... I get up early in the morning too, but I can discuss that without making condescending remarks about the other people that post on here ... i.e. us homebodies with very little excitement in our lives.

Came here to post this.

I tried to do a poll but I'm not computer Davy.

I'm old school. I believe that no grown man (over 26) should ever be asleep past 8am. My dad would wake me and my brother up as kids if we were still in bed at 9am. He thought it was ridiculous for people to waste time sleeping all day.

My body wakes up 7 days a week at 6am no matter what with no alarm clock. I couldn't sleep in if I wanted to.

But I must admit I do like a good afternoon nap.
A grown man gets to sleep as late as he damn well pleases! Right, honey?

Seriously, it all depends on if you are a nigh person or a morning person. I rarely get to sleep before 3am. Just the way I am wired. So, I am getting work/pleasure done while you are sleeping at night. You are doing the same while I am sleeping in the morning. Now, I can do this because my business doesn't require that I be in the office all day long. If you have to be available to others 8am - 6pm, your answer will be different.

Who says I was addressing anyone here ..it’s a general statement through life experience.

And you took it personally so that’s on you

If you’re truly a grown man, you sleep as late as you damn well please.

I generally wake up around 6 during the week and 7ish in the weekend.

but if you are paying your bills I don’t think it matters when you wake up.

When you’re and ALPHA like me you sleep all day and pay people to work for you, go to the gym for you, run errands for you, and even take dumps for you. One day, I’ll teach all of you my secrets so you can sleep when you feel like it (the ALPHA way)

Before you get upset, just remember I’m just bringing the FAX

Real men do what they want. There's electricity for most and most people don't have green acres to tend. Your dad passed down old logic not reason. 24 hrs in a day the hours from 6am to 8am are no more special than any others...just cuz your daddy said so.

A lot of weird masculinity triggered in this thread. Who gives a shit? In the year of our Lord 2021 it's possible to be productive when the sun is not out. Might not be how diddy did it but turns out there was a lot of stuff diddy didn't know.

The amount of people who equate waking up early with success is truly laughable. No one cares when you wake up. It’s truly a weird flex.
I see it all of the time. People on workout forums post at 6am saying they are done with their run and what have you been doing? It is a weird flex indeed. Our company had us fill out some sleep survey and they have labels and I am a woof.. I workout at midnight and sleep in til 9am so I get my 7 hours of sleep. Today I slept in til 11am after working on a server issue til 2am. When I worked 3rd shift it messed me up some with my sleep patterns.

I think computer people work later, better. Probably because the commoners we have to put up with bother is all day, and the only time we can get to actually do work is at night.

I was a computer science major at Vandy in the late 70s and the computer center was mostly underground, and we would "emerge" in the morning. We had to work at night because you had a limited budget of mainframe hours, and it was cheaper to run jobs at night. Also, workstations were open at night because the common student was not there. Yes, I am oulde af ... we didn't have our own computers. I think it stuck with me over the years, he types at 1:15am with several more hours to go.

Got up at 5:30 for 35 years. When I first retired, I would spring out of bed thinking I had overslept! Now I get up around 7:30 - 8:00. Still find it hard to stay up past 10.

100% Agree.. When I was in construction (whether it was framing, installing gas pipe, landscaping, etc) I would be up very early in the morning and have to be out at the site which required an earlier time getting to sleep at night. After being in IT for well over 20 plus years it's the exact opposite. My morning meetings are usually starting at around 10am and I always work late.. many times til midnight.. It is just different schedule that I have come to follow for the past few decades..

An average adult should strive to get 7-9 hours of sleep each night. Some people may need more, and so may need less, but 7-9 hours is a good rule of thumb, regardless of when you go to bed or get up in the morning. Of course, a person may need to sleep more if recovering from an illness or injury. Studies have shown that an afternoon nap is healthy if for no more than one hour and completed by 3pm so as not to interfere with night time sleep!

Depends on what kind of life you lead …I suspect most on here are homebodies with very little excitement In their lives.

My wife and I go out every weekend for date night and stay out till 1-2 am …we sleep in till 9-10 am every Sundays.
You obviously don’t have little kids anymore or never had any
I would lean towards any. Where do you go on a date until 2 am? A bar? Yeah, I don’t go to bars or clubs with the wife. But my life is plenty exciting. And even if I did stay out until 2, I don’t sleep until 9 on a Sunday.

Typically dinner and the Casino or a friends house for dinner and drinks ….and yeah if we don’t go to bed till 2-3 I’m sleeping in till 11-12
