The border is a legitimate security threat right now
Immigration policy/border security.
Bringing light to the corruption in DC that is the true threat to the American way of life.

Forces debate and makes the statist defend things like opening our markets to the world while they restrict their markets.
Energy policy is spot on in my eyes.
Basically, he publicly mostly advances policy I believe and actually fights for those things once in power.
