If we’re not training, we’re behind the curve. Sarah Adams, a former CIA operative, who has received Pentagon letters asking her to stop talking, states that Al Q is even more advanced in their training now. They’re going through advanced urban warfare and other elite training. She’s been predicting attacks like we saw yesterday in NO for a while now. She said more are coming.

Why we won't be rusty...

First off, I'm not working today so the mimosas are flowing.

There's been a lot of ink spent on how the teams with byes have fared and while I mostly chalk that up to the better teams winning (Texas and Penn State were clearly better than their opponents and nobody is playing better than Ohio State right now), but the bye teams have been outscored 42-3 in the first quarter.

Both Saban and McAfee said they'd rather play a home game than get a bye Login to view embedded media
When people mention rust, they're usually talking about slow starts offensively. That's a benefit to us because 1) we've been slow starting all season and 2) this isn't the same offense.

Gunner doesn't have a ton of starts to then shut down the engine and then try and restart it, he's essentially being thrust in from the moment Carson went down. He's had to ramp up during this break, as opposed to an entrenched starter focusing on recovery and down time.

TL;DR - we can't start any slower than we have offensively all season and this is, by default, a different offense than we've had this season.

Ohio State

The reference pool is slight, since this is the first year of a 12 team playoff, and we had but a 4 team playoff since only 2014. Maybe someone can cite an example in the NFL.

Still, I can't think of any team which has achieved the improvement in postseason play over the level of play it exhibited in the regular season as OSU has this year.

The first round game against Tennessee apparently was not a fluke.

Can they sustain it?

Is Gunner playing for his career today?

Do we have to win and/or he plays great for him to be QB1 next year? There were several instances where Stetson had to win games or he was getting run out of town, the 2021 playoff run in particular, which is crazy to realize but such is the high stakes of championship level CFB. Is Gunner in the same boat or was the SECCG win enough to secure the job for next season?

Good Morning Dawg Nation

It's Thursday in NOLA and Gameday for the Dawgs....

Just a terrible and tragic incident in New Orleans that unfolded across the media yesterday. The story about the young UGA fan that was killed protecting his girlfriend was truly heartbreaking. I'd imagine there is still plenty of nervousness about this afternoon's game lingering as well. If you're going, prepare for it to take quite a while to enter and exit for security reasons....all of us at home are praying for protection and safety for you all.

Praying for the UGA student, Elle, who was severely injured, Brandon's family and friends and CKS dad (broken hip in NOLA)

I'll be back at work today and unable to watch until I get off but I'm hoping our Dawgs start strong and don't let up.....LFG and GATA Dawgs!!

Praying for all those on the LDGMDNOPL and the GMDN gang too 🙏🏻

Happy Birthday/Anniversary if you're celebrating today 🥳 🎉

Love you guys and gals, MEAN IT!!

Go Dawgs ♥️

I love him and think he is hilarious.. but for 4 hours tonight he will be part of the enemy.......

I hope he doesn't get a chance to boast about beating UGA

side note: saw him in September in Atlanta, during the show he definitely complimented UGA/ pooped on ND and how they sucked (they had recently just lost to NIU). Seems to be a good guy, a guy's guy.

The Explosive Plays Theory has put the Sec in jeopardy

The Sec has always been known for smash mouth physical football. Playing great defense and running the ball. The key when facing a talented explosive offense is to limit their chances to hit those plays. ASU showed that running 97 plays against Texas. Vandy has done it all year.

Osu has an offensive juggernaut that only a few defenses can hang with but they can eventually make plays on anyone. Instead of taking chances on drive stopping low percentage throws downfield, there is a time to just pound the ball and keep the ball. I hope Bobo and Kirby can realize that. Especially since the WRs have struggled all year. Let ETN eat. He will eventually break something.
