SIAP: 2025 ESPN NFL Mock Draft

ESPN released their latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft earlier this week and it had 3 Dawgs in the first round..

10. Mykel Williams to New Orleans
13. Malaki Starks to Miami
16. Jalon Walker to Arizona

I personally think Mykel might end up a little higher because he is going to blow up at the combine but overall I think all 3 of these guys will be locks for the 1st round. Malaki in particular is so much more highly thought of than what our fans seem to think about him this year. He is playing out of position and the NFL knows it. What will be interesting is IF Carson is able to come back this season and finishes strong could he sneak into late in the 1st round as teams normally like having the extra year on the contract for rookie QBs...

Pray for Former Dawg Gleaton Jones

Gleaton is another Albany GA native who was apart of the '21 team as a walk-on runningback. His dad is a farmer, and parents are avid Dawg fans.

Details are a little rough at this point, but hit his head. In ICU. Broke his back and have had to remove his skull partially due to brain swelling.

He needs a miracle. Please lift him up in your prayers.

Low turnout for Texas fanbase

Anyone think they had an abysmal showing for a rich fanbase with a two hour flight from any part of Texas to ATL? Had to be less than 30%. Of the stadium were their fans. For their first SECCG, that seems pretty lame. I am guessing they just not expect they will be back for the natty and didn't want to spend money coming to ATL twice.
I just know there are way more Alabama and LSU fans the years we have played them.

Nil taxes

I havent really thought about til now but do these kids have to pay taxes on this money? Does the school have an accountant or someone to help them? Or maybe take the taxes out and give them a weekly check so they don't go crazy with it. I don't know to many 18-22yr Olds with the maturity to hold some back without some guidance, Hell I don't know many adults that get a 1099 that have put the money up and not spent it.

I sat next to Mike Usry's sister on a plane yesterday....they love the Dawgs

Most of you probably don't remember him, but he was a QB when I was at UGA in 94-98. He might have been part of the exodus when Quincy Carter came in and took the started job as a freshman. I think Nate Hybl went to Oklahoma, England left, and maybe I don't know if Usry might have stayed or not. I might have butchered that timeline, it was a long time ago and back then i didn't follow the ins and outs of the players because it seemed unmasculine to me to care about the student athletes who were my same age. At any rate, she talked about the Dawgs with great excitement. I didn't know that Mike married one of our gym dawgs and is constantly mocked for being the inferior athlete of the two. Funny story the way she told it.

Watching the SEC trophy presentation again.....

Looked really thrown together last minute. I guess that's the way they all are really. But it was like Laura handed the mic to Sankey and said "Say something while I try to get the MVP envelope"

Sankey: "Texas is great"

Laura yanks the mic away

"Daylen Everette MVP"

Daylen: "It's all about my teammates. "

Kirby: "We need rest. Thanks Sankey."

Sankey: Acts like he's thrilled. (Honestly, the scowl on his face was there the whole time. No real reaction to what Kirby said. If I didn't know better, would think he was a Tex alum.)

I feel either 1990 or 2000 had it correct, I'd say 2000 reward the top 50 teams. Eliminate 6-6 teams, if not for 35 bowls in 2010, Georgia's streak however would have came to an end.
