During the broadcast of the SEC Championship game, in the 2nd half, I haven't gone back and watched it, so can't provide the time this occurred, but the camera man was focused on someone working feverishly on Gunner's helmet.
Earlier, I'd noticed his mouthpiece jammed in the side of his helmet, which I can't recall seeing before, even thought I've seen so many running with their mouthpiece connected to their mask and keep wondering "Why isn't someone flowing a flag", because I thought was as penalty, although I haven't seen it called in years.
Does anyone know specifically what the tech was working on his helmet? I figured it was trying to get the mouthpiece unjammed or they were working on the communication system they now have in their helmets.
If anyone knows for certain, please let us know. Also, when Gunner took on the hit on the next to last play, you can see in the slow motion clips, he didn't have his mouthpiece in. I'm surprised he didn't cut his tongue or gotten some teeth broken. Soon or later, it needs to be emphasized, for their own safety.
Go Dawgs!!!
