Who’s left

Jumping ahead a little . With the previous Nitro possibly portaling Monday thread . How many players do we lose before the playoffs even start ? Do we go in with 60 players available, half our backups gone ? Players who portal in aren’t immediately eligible, they can’t be replaced. Hate the way this works . Imo they should wait until after the natty before portal opens .

Today

Right now, thousands of UGA football fans are gearing up for a “battle” this afternoon against Texas. We are busily prepping food and drink, heading to a tailgate, or preparing infinite other pregame rituals..

Right now, 83 years ago, 2300 U.S. servicemen were sleeping thru their last nite on earth.

In about 7 hours, we will be barking and chanting Go Dawgs!!!

In about 7 hours, 83 years ago, the trajectory of our country and our world, was forever changing..

I can’t imagine not being a Bulldawg. But I thank God every day that I am an American…

Go Dogs! And God bless our troops and all those that sacrificed so that today, the most important “war” Georgia fans will be worried about is the one on the football field with Texas.

The post from the Texas site yesterday

said it all.

"* From the Texas side of things, they believes the NIL package that is in front of Terry is putting a lot of pressure on a Georgia side that hasn't gone as far as Texas has with any recruit or player it has ever had in its program, including other 5-star defensive linemen in the 2025 recruiting class. If Texas doesn't land Terry, it won't be because they didn't try to obliterate its competition from an NIL investment standpoint. You can't make someone take your money, but we're talking about a sum of money large enough that Texas feels like it will be very tough to turn down.

OB believes that the Longhorns have presented the most attractive NIL offer – possibly by a decent margin – and that’s a big part of the reason for confidence in Austin.

* One person this week told us that Georgia operates similarly to Texas in that the UGA program has a soft cap that it prefers to not go over with NIL offerings. Texas, as we’ve noted, has shattered that ceiling with Michael Fausui and now with Terry. Georgia might need to do the same, but we’re told the backing is there since Georgia basically decided against ponying up money for guys like Kevin Wynn and Jeramiah McCloud."

I came to post it yesterday but LonghornDawg beat me to it.

I checked with the guys in charge of Georgia's counteroffer. As of this morning, they said they felt good but "anything can happen."

Well it did.

As for this damn site being unavailable after the news, we were put on our own individual server to stop stuff like the boards going down from happening.

What a cluster of a day.

NonDawg Big12 CCG - Arizona State v Iowa State - early observations

1. Competitive and exciting early on, both team able to move the ball.
2. Skattebo with a very risky decision to throw the ball away on that goal line play. Ended up working out.
3. ASU cheerleaders reminding me how great the scenery is on that campus.
4. When Texas loses later today and ends up getting the 5th seed, they'll appreciate having either of these teams as the 4th seed they get to play to make the semis.
