Hard to believe the lack of posts about the Tech game,

but for me it's always personal and important. Growing up in Atlanta it was all Tech, but my folks liked UGA.I was recruited hard by Tech since I was from Decatur. Roger Kaiser a two time AA at Tech was my coach at Decatur and the Tech coach Whack Hyder was a great guy. But I wanted to get away from home.

We played Tech three times a year at least through my junior year and won most of the, but Rich Yunkus was a great player for them. I've hated Tech like a lot of UGA folks, but there is nobody I'd rather whup.

Any Nico update? I only ask because was at a site visit at work today and

talking to the manager of that location, who told me "it was nice to meet you until I saw your jacket (UGA)", then called me into his office which was filled with Vol stuff. We chatted for a bit, but as we got ready to get down to business, I said "well, after last week, I've got a bad feeling about my dawgs this weekend." He replied, "well, we don't have a QB. Nico is out". I was surprised he said it with such certainty. This was in Charlotte area so I doubt he has super inside connections, but just wondering if there has been any new updates on his status?

SEC Championship Game

I'm trying to pull myself out of depths of despair.

We've had a lot of conversations this week about potential CFP playoff rankings operating under the assumption that chalk holds and everyone wins out after we beat Tenn. I haven't seen much (any?) talk about alternative SEC Championship scenarios.

Starting with some constants: UGA beats Tenn and there are no major upsets such as Oklahoma over Bama or Kentucky over Texas.
  • If Auburn beats Alabama: SEC CG is UGA vs Texas
  • If aTm beats Texas and LSU has any loss (Fla, Vandy or Oklahoma): SEC CG is UGA vs Alabama
It would be good for us for LSU to lose regardless. There's a build out for the first scenario where LSU gets in above us based on conference opponent winning percentage, but these are not far-fetch possibilities.

I'm choosing to be positive today.

Couple of other thoughts for tomorrow....movie themed

1) Wizard of Oz.....there's no place like home. We'll see if that's the case. Being home, energy of the crowd....rejuvenated team?

2) Fast & Furious......ride or die.

This feels like a ride or die game with regards to your main guys. And one in particular....Mykel Williams...leave him on the field. Most snaps he's ever played in a game is 41. Want to see 50+ this week. Starks at Star and Bolden/Dan at safety....a lot.
