Whole new ball game -- the team that improves the most from here wins the Championship

As an avid CFB fan, I have not seen a dominant team take the field this year. Ohio State and Texas have not played tough schedules. The week 7 upsets reset the SEC. The Dawgs are well positioned. If we improve as the season progresses, there is no reason we cannot win a Natty. A few observations.
  • OL play has not been great but we had two starters out this week. When Tate Ratledge and Jared Wilson are back we will improve. Once that happens, may see Morris at RT or more Freeling there. Need better play to help Beck to get back to 2023 form.
  • Need more Etienne and Frazier in the game on offense. We cannot abandon the run like we did against Bama. Need play action to be effective.
  • Screen game to Etienne and Frazier needs more attention.
  • Luckie is TE number one. Need to transition Delp to more blocking.
  • Young started off the season hurting. Slowly improving. I think he will be a big help down the stretch.
  • Humphreys needs more run.
  • Getting Hall back, Mykel healthy, and Brinson healthy will change the D.
  • Need to move Starks to Star and play Bolden and Dan at Safety.
  • Need to see LB development with Mondon out. Cole needs more time at LB and Williams needs some time especially in Miss State game.

As if you needed more reason to despise Texas ATM and Arkansas

A recent FOIA request by Matt Taibbi discovered that the "Global Engagement Center", which is an arm of the USA state department that has a 98.7 million budget from USA taxpayers ,...are funding grants to Arizona State, Texas ATM, and Arkansas U to study implementation methodologies of silencing "disinformation" from said USA taxpayers

The very same "Global Engagement Center" funds the "Global Disinformation Index" center in London UK that petitions advertisers to stop funding of media in the USA, Europe , and worldwide who have opinions that are contrary to the "globalist theories". as regarded by the USA state dept

And also,...when you go against the USA state media in Africa such as Africa Vision media did regarding drone strikes in Somalia,... Blinken comes out in a speech against Africa Vision, and then Africa Vision is removed on YouTube, Google, Facebook, X/Twitter,.....reporting civilian deaths in Somalia from a US airstrike leads to the De-platform of an African media source worldwide,...

This is why media speaks with one voice domestically and internationally based on perceived USA policy,... because people have mortgages, bills, children, etc,...and you have to sell your soul and move with the waves or get washed up among a rocky shore

In response to Hollands comments about Kirby……

I can understand where Kirby is coming from but it’s most definitely a two way street. Most of us still have a bad taste in our mouths from going to Tuscaloosa last week. Are some of our fans spoiled? Sure, every fanbase has them that has experienced a lot of recent success. But i didnt see a lot of empty seats yesterday and considering we were playing a dismal 2-4 Auburn team that ranks 10th in the SEC in total Defense and when we made plays i heard a lot of cheering. Also add in the fact we have been dealt some God-awful home schedules the past few years and constantly being asked for more money every time you turn around i think the fans have done well, we travel as good and better than most fanbases.

Add to the fact that while my 19 year old daughter and i tried to traverse through the Quad at Meyers Hall i had a young 20 something fellow wearing a San Diego Padres hat tell us we were “Trespassing” and weren’t allowed to walk through the quad, good thing the smell of weed was overwhelming as i got. A contact high and it mellowed me out, if not I would of told him i was playing touch football in this same quad as a kid waiting for my mom to get off work before he was even a gleam in his daddy’s eye……maybe thats why the crowd wasn’t as loud yesterday, everyone was lit.

Sleeping over the torpedo

When I was a kid, my dad would get us tours of naval vessels docked on the Savannah River. We toured a lot of ships, including submarines. I was always impressed by the sailor bunks that were right on top of the torpedos. I guess “sleeping over the torpedo” will now take on new meaning.

Many of you armchair coaches could really benefit from watching Coach Hayes offensive breakdown…..

Is Mike Bobo a perfect OC? Of course not. But play calling is not a major problem for this team. Watch Coach do a nice job of breaking down many of our offensive plays.
Our OL is struggling right now especially at tackle and 73 is really struggling. There are plenty of play calls that were a gnats hair from being big gains but one person didn’t do his job completely. Beck played extremely well.

Honest Q for Will & Chat Dems. Was peace & prosperity in DJT first term "luck?"....

for lack of a better term? A coincidence that could have just as easily happened under a Harris or Biden regime? For the record I think it is totally okay to take this position. I highly disagree with it, I am just curious if that is in fact the position, given the support for Harris as President.

Low inflation and wage growth that far exceeded that inflation.
Historic prosperity amongst lower class and minorities.
Peace in the US
Peace in the middle east
Peace in Europe

Bottom line - Did Biden just draw bad cards? Is the behavior of Iran's proxies towards Israel, Afghanistan withdrawal, Putin invading Ukraine and that war showing no signs of ending after almost 3 years, inflation, record credit card debt / delinquency, record housing un-attainability?........just a bad draw that he and Harris happened to be in charge during all of this?

Or is there any correllation whatsoever between the leadership of our Country and all of these events? Again - there are arguments that it is just bad luck. I am just curious if that is the honest position here.

Here's How I See It

I think we are far enough into the season to start presenting some observations from my perspective on this Georgia team.

Our offense could really use a big time WR. I am happy that we have a stable of guys that you can trust. We seem to be deep with quality WRs but we don't seem to have anyone that can win a big game for us. It is great that the defense can't key on a particular guy, and there are advantages to being able to spread the ball around, but I get pretty jealous when I see other top teams being able to feed a ball to a future first rounder deep down the field. I would love to see another George Pickens, Bowers, or AJ Green on our side. Arian Smith has proven that he can get past a defense but he doesn't consistently bring the ball down. IMO, Bell is our best WR and deserves 7+ touches a game. I'd also be fine with Lawson Luckie being the only TE we throw to. I'm cool giving a target or 2 to Delp to keep defenses honest but #7 is a better pass catching threat.

ETN is our best back and it is clear the coaches think so too. I can't wait for Frazier to start doing whatever he needs to do in practice to earn more trust from the coaches because he is our next best ball carrier. I know Branson Robinson is coming back from surgery but he doesn't seem to find the hole as well as Frazier.

The O-Line is pretty good but isn't great. Losing Tate is a bummer because he is likely our best player up front. Fairchild, Wilson, and Greene look like they can grow into very good players but I don't see them dominating right now. Morris and Truss have had enough time to show us who they are and they are not the studs Pittman brought in. Our offensive line is starting to resemble the lines of the Richt era. A bunch of 3 and 4 star dudes that don't quite have the physical gifts to take over a game.

There is still time this year for Bobo and Beck to find a rhythm but I certainly miss Monken. I think he is the best OC we have ever had so I knew we were likely to take a step back after he left. He just seemed to get cooking much faster. I think Bobo is a quality OC but I get the sense that he ends up reacting and adjusting to the defense too often. I felt like Monken would force the defense to react to him and had answers ready to go as soon as they did. It's either that or Beck just isn't near the dude that SBIV was.

I think the biggest issue with our defense this year is our trouble getting of blocks on the perimeter. I'm used to seeing those swing passes and screens getting blown up by our CBs but I am not seeing it this year. I am also used to seeing our ILBs getting outside too, so my guess is that they are getting caught up in the wash, a sign that our D-Line is not demanding double teams.

I feel like our DBs have actually been pretty good this year. I wish KJ was already a few years older. He looks great at times but looks like a freshman sometimes as well.

Overall, my eyes tell me we look a lot like last year. Really good but missing the element that makes us great. I believe we have the pieces to make a run in the CFP. There is still plenty of time to start playing more consistently. Miss St comes at a good time. We have an opportunity to get right against them and build some confidence. If we go out to Austin and play 4 quarters of UGA football then we can beat them by multiple scores. They are good but I can see the team that played the 2nd half of the Clemson and Bama games beating them 42 - 21. We got the right guy in charge to get it done.
