I’ve made my decision but curious what Dawg nation would do in this situation 🤣

Ignore first two poll
Options. Somehow it posted before I was done with my edits.

Arkansas game feels crucial at this point

Obviously first of all we need to get back in the W column.

Second, given how highly road games are valued, it’s the exact time of game that really hurts to lose.

The way things are going, it’s looking like 8-10 will lock us in to the tournament. We need to get 6 more wins somewhere

Here are our best chances IMO:

@ARK
vs SC
vs LSU
vs Moo St
vs Mizzou
@ Texas
@ SC
vs Vandy

Of course, there are other games that we COULD win, and we probably will steal 1 or 2, but I think we need to go 5-3 or better in the games above.

Good Morning Dawg Nation

Back at it, it's Monday morning!!

My daughter was able to gift her friend something very special last night. You all probably remember me mentioning Jeff, my co-worker's husband that passed suddenly on 12/7. His daughter is Tanner's best friend and the last game they all watched together was the epic GT game. Noah's mom and sister were able to tell his story to some of the players and they all signed a ball " to Jeff" .....let me just say that no matter what happens, Nate Frazier will forever be a DGD to me. He led the charge getting signatures and was the absolute sweetest human being. Tanner had already chosen this pic of him for the frame and it's perfect!!

Thanks for letting me share this story with you all....go have a fantastic day!!

Praying for all those on the LDGMDNOPL and the GMDN gang too 🙏🏻

Happy Birthday/Anniversary if you're celebrating today 🥳 🎉

Love you guys and gals, MEAN IT!!

Why all the angst for 2025?

There seems to be a popular sentiment that 2025 will be a rebuilding year, and I quite frankly don't get it. Sure, we're losing some top contributors (like any other year) and most want a coach or two (or three) gone, but I do not ever see a rebuilding year happening with Kirby in charge. I think many are incorrectly comparing what the 2025 team will look like to the best teams we've fielded under Kirby. I think we should be looking at how we stack up relative to other teams. As has been discussed ad nauseam, NIL and the portal have changed everything, so we may never be as deep as the '21 team. That said, who should we fear next season?

SEC: Texas will probably be the favorite with what they have coming back, but are we sure they'll be head and shoulders above us? I'm not. Arch will most likely be outstanding, but to this point he has put up great stats against the likes of Mississippi St., ULM, and UTSA. So he still has some proving to do. Bama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, LSU, A&M, and others have as many roster questions as we do.

Nationally, who should we fear? OSU and Oregon will both have new QBs and will be losing a lot defensively. Notre Dame may become a mainstay under Freeman, but they are nothing to fear from a roster perspective. Clemson may be a team to be reckoned with since Klubnik is returning, but they are far from scary. There are sure to be teams that come out of nowhere, but I just don't think UGA should be looked at as anything but a national title contender for years to come.

As we all know, there are lots of factors that go into winning. Notre Dame did not out-talent us last week, but they outplayed and out-coached us. Sometimes it's just about having the right mix of health, execution, coaching, and luck. I really believe we'll be right in the mix next year.

That is all. Carry on.

Let’s just admit where we are…

Herschel is gone. We had a great run while he was here. Dooley was a good coach but not great. Kirby benefitted from Brock Bowers (just as Dooley did with Herschel) and Stetson (was pretty incredible). Kirby was exceptional during the days when recruiting mattered. He was one of the best but recruiting isn’t enough. Now $$ is what brings the kids in and we are behind a number of other teams at getting the kids that are difference makers.

Good Morning Dawg Nation

Well I guess its set.....ND and O$U.

Dadgummit... @Lurk Russell and I were ready to claim our 3rd recent National Championship if Texas had pulled it off!! Go Dawgs 😉

I hope everyone has a fantastic and warm day planned.... no snow for us down here, just rainy and cold. No Bueno @GaGirl14

Prayers Needed - My Daughter Is Home Update #5

Dawgnation
My daughter was involved in a terrible accident last night and fractured her skull and had a brain bleed. She is is diehard Dawg and is 26 with her entire life in front of her. The latest CT showed more bleeding and they have taken her up for emergency surgery at Piedmont here in Athens. We need all of your prayers. Her name is Olivia - please lift her up in prayer and ask for Gods healing hand!
@Radi Nabulsi

Quick Update- Olivia
After her 2nd CT, there was continued bleeding so they had to do emergency surgery. The surgeon felt good about the surgery and thought most of the bleeding was coming from her skull fracture which she believe they captured and removed any of the clots. Overall, again, the surgeon was optimistic yet it’s early as it relates to any impact as it relates to recovery. We’re not out of the woods as they still had to take another CT just to ensure there’s no continued bleeding. Please tell everyone our family cannot thank everyone enough for the prayer chain, texts and love you’ve sent our way. Please ask everyone to continue to ask all of their prayer, warriors and friends to keep Olivia on their daily prayer list. We’re now just taking it one day at a time and are asking God to continue to place his healing hands on her.
Ben, Tracy and Zach

Update #2
Prayers are working. God worked thru her surgeons hands. Felt most of bleeding was coming from skull fracture. Neurosurgeon felt good overall. It’s still early and definitely not out of woods yet just wanted to thank Dawgnation again. We have a long road ahead and are just taking a day at a time yet knowing my baby is in so many prayer lists gives our family comfort. We appreciate you so much and ask for Gods healing. Much love from my daughter Olivia! God Bless!

Update #3
First the Dawg nation and family is amazing! Your prayers have given us such comfort during this uncertain time. Tough night, not much sleep with a lot of swelling and pain from the emergency surgery. The CT scan last night after the surgery looked good. Her neurosurgeon came by this morning and was pleased with the CT and her overall progress. She was more alert after the surgery than when she went into the operating room…..that’s God healing at work and the efforts of strong prayer from everyone on the DawgVent! Please continue to lift her up in daily prayer yet know that she is communicating and alert. Not much recall of the accident yet we will take any small win right now. Long journey in front of us and we are taking it “one day at a time! God bless all of the Dawg family! Just wanted to keep you apprised of her progress. We so appreciate the prayer chain and love you have shown our family.
Ben(aka BigOleDawg), Tracy, Zach and Olivia(aka Yaya).

Update #4
Many have asked for an update on Olivia so wanted to share the latest news. First let me share that your direct messages, emails, texts and offers for our family to stay at your homes in Athens has simply been overwhelming! God Bless the Dawg Nation - there is no family like the Red & Black.

The last few days have been challenging yet we are making progress each day. We have experienced all the emotions possible and cried a river over the last 4 days…….and it has been your prayers and love for Olivia and our family that has helped keep our family strong.

We have read your individual prayers, comments of love and support to her! And yes the prayers are working - her surgical team is pleased with her progress following surgery despite some of the daily ups/downs or setbacks that come with therapy following brain trauma. We have already begun PT, ST, OT and the intensive therapy and work now required for Olivia to heal.

We are hoping to move out of ICU soon which is a big step. As you might expect, we are scared to death as a family. Yet are trying to stay where our feet are….and not get to far ahead of ourselves. As a father, you simply want to keep your kids safe yet have felt so out of control and at times overcome with stress and anxiety. Yet many of you reminded me that it’s ok to be human and to lean into our faith and the word of the Almighty!

I apologize if I have not been able to respond to all of your messages or DMs. Our family just wanted to say thank you Dawg Nation for all of your love! Please keep my daughter and our family on your daily prayer list as we are marching towards a full recovery with Gods healing hands. Today was better than yesterday and for that we are thankful!

From our family to yours,,,,God Bless!

Update #5
Olivia Update (She’s Home) - August 5, 2024

First a huge thank you for all the texts, videos, emails, phone calls and daily prayers! Your continuous love, support and prayers brought such comfort to Olivia and the family during our worse nightmare. Some of the individual or personal prayers you sent were such an inspiration and we did our best to share each and every of them with our Yaya during her stay in the hospital.

Gods healing hands have been clearly at work for the last 10 days!! Olivia was in ICU until this past Thursday following her successful surgery on 7/27 to stop the bleeding. Her neurosurgeon and Piedmont Medical team felt good enough about her progress that she came home late yesterday. Praise the Lord!! God is good and we are so blessed!

We are now on a new journey. Olivia will require occupational and speech therapy yet no PT. Olivia’s doctor is confident in a full recovery in Gods time. Please continue to pray for daily healing and patience for Olivia and the entire family. Again, we are grateful to each and every one of you! We love you deeply!

God Bless!
Olivia and the entire Nobles Family

Much different Christmas

Wife has been dealing with what she believed was a kidney stone over the last week. Couple that with her falling in the tub Saturday afternoon while I wasn’t home. Didn’t know she hit her head until Sunday afternoon. Late afternoon, her speech changed and she developed balance issues. Thinking she had a concussion, I called 911, who sent an ambulance to check her out and transport her to the hospital.

Did a knowledge dump of most of what is shared above, with a few more details. They ran urine test and found she has a UTI, also did CAT scan which came back clear, and ordered an MRI and ultrasound of neck arteries to make sure they weren’t missing anything.

Because I mentioned a fall in the bathtub where she hit her head, they were trying to determine if she had a concussion or possibly a stroke. Everything, CAT scan, MRI and neck arteries checked out clear.

By Monday afternoon she was doing better, but after 2nd round of antibiotic didn’t produce expected effect, they did more blood work and found she has E-Coli which was resistant to the original antibiotic.

So, another night in the hospital.

Seems like she’ll be discharged tomorrow, because today being Christmas, they don’t think they’ll be able to get the PICC line installed today, because she’ll need to be on the antibiotic for another 10-14 days.

So, spending Christmas time in the hospital definitely wasn’t the original plans, but I’m so very thankful those working during this time have done their best to get her better before discharging her.

Guys, moral of the story, if your wife or significant other complains about kidney pains, don’t wait. Ensure she gets tested sooner rather than later.

It helps insure bigger problems don’t arise or create worse problems that could have been preventable, like a multi day hospital stay.

Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!!
