Today is the 107-year anniversary of Georgia setting an NCAA record for margin of victory with a 122-2 win in a game against Southeastern Christian College.

They don't play 5 yards off the WR or TE like our Schumann D this year and close extremely fast. It's impressive.

Is it allowable to line up with 11 guys to run a play, and then run the entire 11 off to be subbed by another 11?

I've never seen that. Should that have been a penalty?

Their job was to rank them 1-25 and a committee of Commissioners, college presidents, and AD’s developed the system to seed the teams. (Which sucked)

We’ve been blaming the wrong people. The CFPC ranking of the teams 1-12 was actually very good.

Also, the seeding system will be different next year … all the “bye” teams lost.

Incidentally, I wouldn't mind us keeping Donte Williams as long as he was on the road recruiting... and we picked up another DB coach to be the on-field assistant coach working with the corners.

I get route running and separation at the collegiate level… but, we had guys wiyh unreliable hands with reasonably thrown balls all year.

For years we have ridiculed the Bama fanbase for being spoiled and out of touch. We are fast becoming the exact types of fans we have loathed for so many years. Tonight hurt...bad. It hurt because we know that if we played to the standard Kirby has built over the last 8 years then we would beat that Notre Dame team with room to spare. But we can't win the national title every year. We went 40 years between titles. It could be another 40 years who knows. Winning a natty is very very difficult. We won an SEC title in the first season of this super league with easily the most difficult schedule. That is quite an accomplishment.

The reality is this was Kirby's most flawed team since 2016 yet they won the SEC title. The game is changing with NIL and the portal. We are still one of the top 5 programs in the country. Don't be too quick to forget where we were in the few years before Kirby arrived.

I'm preaching to myself mainly but we need to be grateful for the run we've been on and realize it won't be like this forever. Enjoy the ride. Forget the loss. Hug your family. Life is bigger than football. Kirby and UGA ain't done yet either. We will be back.
