Just my two cents: It doesn’t make sense

To fire any coordinator or position coach until after this portal window closes tbh. Now that freshman that JUST SIGNED with their school and enrolled can enter the portal you are better off just waiting out the five days and then making the moves that way you have a few months to walk the recruits at that position through the succession plan and keep them in the fold. It doesn’t any good to lose those guys (even if you think the coach that recruited them is a bum and can’t spot talent)

(I may be alluding to one coach in particular here but I trust yall to read between the lines)

Georgia and Auburn have only met one other time when both teams were nationally ranked

AP Newberry: No. 19 Georgia Beats No. 24 Auburn 85-79

“With Jarvis Hayes hindered by an injury, No. 19 Georgia turned to some of its lesser-known players to beat No. 24 Auburn 85-79 on Saturday.

Steve Thomas had 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Chris Daniels and Damien Wilkins each scored 12 points to help the Bulldogs overcome a poor game by one of their stars.

Georgia (12-4, 4-1 Southeastern Conference) handed the Western Division-leading Tigers (15-4, 4-2) their second straight league loss. Auburn lost at Kentucky on Wednesday.

Hayes, bothered by a hip flexor, was only 3-of-12 from the field and finished with 12 points _ far below his average of 18.5 per game.

Ezra Williams, Georgia's other offensive leader, had a strong game with 19 points. Still, that was 10 fewer than he had in the previous game, when Williams and Hayes combined for 52 points in an overtime victory over Tennessee.

Brandon Robinson had a career-high 25 points and nine rebounds for the Tigers, while Marquis Daniels added 20 points.

Auburn went up for the first time since the opening minutes when Robinson scored in the lane to make it 54-53 with 12:40 to go. The teams swapped the lead four times before Jonas Hayes hit a jumper with 8:34 remaining to spark a 6-0 run that put Georgia ahead to stay.

Jarvis Hayes connected from the baseline with four minutes remaining to give the Bulldogs a 72-67 lead. Georgia's overlooked front line took a starring role the rest of the way, with Thomas and Chris Daniels each scoring six points.

The Bulldogs sealed the victory at the free throw line, going 9-of-10 over the final 1:23.

The game was cleanly played after last year's contest was marred by a brawl between Thomas and Auburn's Kyle Davis with two minutes remaining. Georgia coach Jim Harrick also was ejected as the Tigers upset the Bulldogs 75-72.

This time, Robinson had a huge game off the bench, shooting 9-of-13 to better his previous career high of 21 points, set in December 2001 against North Carolina-Asheville.

Robinson scored 17 points in the second half when the Bulldogs turned their defensive efforts to stopping Marquis Daniels, who had 14 points in the first half. Chris Daniels limited Auburn's leading scorer to 3-of-7 shooting after halftime.

Marco Killingsworth added 16 points for the Tigers, who couldn't overcome a total team effort by Georgia.

All seven players who got on the court contributed. Point guard Rashad Wright had eight points, five assists, two steals and only one turnovers. Jonas Hayes, Jarvis' twin bother, added six points and five rebounds.”

Not that it matters at this point, but Gunner

Threw a really nice deep ball tonight. If we had some playmakers on the outside and an offensive line that could block, I believe he could’ve cooked their secondary. Was really impressed how he handled his first start in such a big atmosphere.

Regardless, we don’t have playmakers on the outside and the o line looked liked Swiss cheese (especially LT), so none of this matters.

But, the Dawgs are still SEC champs, so we can celebrate that. As weird as it’s been, I’d say it’s still been a good year, all things considered.

Go Dawgs!

Women’s basketball

I know most people on here don’t care a lot about WB but it is still a sport that UGA participants in. And I use the word participates very loosely. This year is setting up to be the most embarrassing in our history. We don’t just lose but we are barely competitive. This coach is absolutely pathetic. The AD needs to get his head out of his a.. and fire her now and prepare to hire a program changing replacement. Shoot for the moon, we have the money, spend it.

Whats with all the doom and gloom?

This kind of BS seals it; college football is no longer an amateur sport and it is going to destroy the culture of college football.

You gotta be effing kidding me. Man what’s going to become of college football…

Same level of disappointment .......

Whether he was wanted back or not that seems strange. Why wouldn’t Courson help him through the process. Regardless, bad look for UGA here

Carson wasn't part of the plan for next year. He said he was going pro. Now he wants to portal? Wgaf? We shouldn't. Wasn't part of the plan either way.

It wasn't a bad look for uga it was a bad look for Beck. Just like all the smiling on the sideline at ole miss. The wanting to be anywhere but new Orleans at the sugar bowl. The pouting. The bad body language. Good riddance. You boys are way too soft.
