Intriguing & Under the Radar Class of 2026 WR Offerees

The DB & WR boards are interesting. Loads of talent in the state of Georgia. For as much talk about depth missing on the in state crop of DL & OL this cycle, the abundance of top shelf talent in state in the secondary and at wideout is barely discussed. In the era of this crazy portal and NIL, we could see historic high quality hauls from the state of Georgia at DB, RB, & WR in the Class of 2026. Camp season will be really fun!

These last two games, Arkansas and Florida, ……

are a harbinger of things to come; a season on the brink! This is the reason I was saying back in the pre-SEC part of our schedule, don’t count your chickens before they hatch. Wait until we get into the SEC part of our schedule to judge how good this team is. This team is clearly lacking in SEC talent. Lunardi had us making the NCAA tournament this morning, but I wouldn’t put any money on our making it. These next four games will tell the story.

Offensive Coordinators

I have been told many times that Bobo’s offense is essentially the same offense Monken ran, and that apparent differences are the result of QB preferences, personnel, or execution. Frankly, I am not expert enough to debate the issue.

But I can say this. This year’s Bobo’s offense looked a lot like the Chaney/Coley offenses. Run 8 or so ineffective plays in a row to set up a possible explosive play. Watching Monken’s offense this weekend was a reminder of how different it can be.

Brain Tumor

Have a left frontal lobe tumor which was recently found. Slow growing. Been causing seizures for a minute. Surgery to remove it is next week. I feel very confident in the surgical team. Crazy how they keep you awake and precisely remove bad and leave good parts. It’s on the language barrier so some risk but overall feel good.
Anyone had any experiences similar?
I understand recovery is very dependent on a lot of factors. I’m in good shape so hope for quick recovery. Seems some possible mental stress, anger, confusion symptoms.

UPDATE Two others expanded roles for Sports Medicine staff

Connor Norman and Ryan Madaleno will have expanded roles within the University of Georgia Athletic Association’s Sports Medicine department for football.

Norman, a UGA graduate and 2010-13 football letterman, will be the Director of Football Sports Medicine while Madaleno, who has been with the program since 2021, will be football’s Head Athletic Trainer. Norman will oversee the department operations and staff. Madaleno’s role will be to focus on day to day management of the football players’ health.
