It’s purpose would be mainly advisory and social media companies have been asking for guidance from the government. Right now the internet is the Wild West. We have long had regulation of traditional media.

Now we have misinformation being spread from Unclear sources and shared and promoted by methodologies that aren’t transparent. There is some really crazy stuff going around and it’s damaging the country.

Also, everyone here is concerned about the boarder right.........well here is another example of why the board is being put in place, to battle human trafficker's spreading false information in Central America concerning illegal immigrants.

“Ministry of Truth” was one facet of literal mind control within that novel, which literally scared a generation or two of us into actively recognizing & acknowledging the realities of human nature’s ugly side via political ambitions & power.

But, We the Peeps forgot to be mindful of efforts all around us (marketing, politics, entertainment) continuing to tug at our grasp of reality to better sell us things & thoughts. Addicting us to entertainment was/is the easiest part. Age old political promises continue to make up the closing argument for whatever storyline, narrative, storyboard, company line or marketing message is being taught or sold to us in our courtrooms and on our multiple screens of personalized influence at home, at work and on the go.

We generally suck at recognizing the value of “whole truth” on any topic that drives “current events.” We want little to no trouble or controversy in our lives except the safe kind in entertainment or political gamesmanship. So anyone with a pleasant tone can easily convince us that “everything’s okay. I’m here to take care of things for you and for your loved ones.” Most effective, thus most enduring LIE in politics. WE (most of us) fall for it every time.
