my father in law got four Patron badges from a materials supplier and was placed on the Patron mailing list. He, my mother in law and some combination of their children spent the week in Augusta every year.
Fast forward to 1979. I had been dating the bride for a year at that point and she asked me if I wanted to go with her to the Masters for a day. I went down there with him and/or the bride (and many others, including some on here) at least one day every year from 1979 until last year. He was left handed, so he always pulled for the lefties.
My father in law passed last December a year ago, and the credentials mailing from the ANGC just didn't show up this year. The bride and her brothers are sad. I keep telling them what a blessing it was to be able to go for all those years.
I am grateful to my late father in law for the opportunities to go to a special event at a special place. Great memories.
