Biden is an idiot! 15$ minimum wage will destroy a lot of businesses*

How about instead of raising the minimum wage to $15.00 an hour, you raise your skillset to be worth at least $15.00 an hour?
The more you push for a $15 an hour minimum wage, the more you're pushing to be entirely replaced by a machine.

economy and the country grows as people grow.

A minimum wage job was/is not meant to be a career.....but it works for some as a temporary stop.

you want to get ahead??......work harder, get an education or both. it has worked that way for “long time now”

have seen plenty that worked hard without the education that got ahead. an education does help.

you can’t rely on the government to support you by just arbitrarily raising the minimum wage.....especially that big of a jump.

unless you just want to rely on the government.

Raising people's wages hurts the economy? You folks realize that, along with population growth and spending growth, that wage growth is a fundamental part of the economy? Henry Ford once raised the wages of everyone in his factories because he realized they couldn't even afford to buy the product they were making. What you're ignoring is the fact that raising the money that the poorest population earns contributes a lot more to the economy than raising how much the top one percent earns.... Why? because when you increase the wages of the poor they spend it on everyday goods and services. Businesses will adapt and benefit from a rise in minimum wages.
Seattle is at the forefront of requiring a $15 minimum wage. Now Boeing is moving to South Carolina. that's how business adapts.

Why does the Govt have the right to tell you the amount you have to pay anyone? You can’t pay some kid $15/hr to flip burgers or stuff a taco. The Mickey Ds fry station is not a career. This is nanny state chit, and the very last person who should have any right to impose rules upon my business is you.

Why do they have the right? Because they have been given the right, regardless of your opinion. And guess what, you can pay some kid $15 hr to flip burgers, if that's the minimum wage.

And what if the minimum wage is raised by over 60% of the voters (in a state where there was no accusations of ballot stuffing, etc.)? How do you feel about that, regardless of the fact that you would have voted against it.

The govt only has the rights we allow them to have. And we have allowed them to have many more than the constitution allows and envisioned. Unfortunately people think its ok to vote themselves a share of other peoples money, as if by just being born they deserve it. You can't pay someone $15 hr to flip burgers if customers won't pay the price for the burger. And adding $7 hr to each employee's salary will definitely raise the price of a burger. By the way, I didn't vote against $15 hr specifically, I voted against govt overeach which is definitely on display right now. $15 hr is just one speck on their overall disastrous policies.

If inflation hadn’t killed the housing and car market I would oppose raising minimum wage. But we need to do something to fix the issue of housing prices in this country.

Really? I wonder why all these big corporations are stifling the speech of pubs and the military industrial complex give tons of money to the Dems. Not to mention that most of the corporate law firms support Dems. In addition, wall street has been a big source of Dem contributions. I believe Dems are flush with corporate cash.
Everyone you listed swing both ways. When Reagan or W were prez they did same for them.

Stifling speech? Lying Donnie earned it with his constant lying. So have his supporters. Not protected speech. Private companies doing as they are allowed under law.

We'll disagree on that. Those publicly traded corporations were given by congress a carve-out that protected them from liability (after they cried about being sued) because they promised to provide free speech and not become a publisher. They insisted they were just a host and not responsible for content. They use govt (FCC) controlled airwaves and govt infrastructure and hold govt contracts for various services. So they really aren't just a private entity. They are not like a privately owned newspaper at all. We have every right to punish them for election interference and distributing false and defamatory information, mostly aimed at the right.

We'll have to disagree on who were the biggest abusers or recipients of the lies and falsehoods spread via the social media sites. I think the vast majority of the instigators were from the right or Donnie hisself. Rule 230 does provide some immunities for content as you state and they are definitely not newspapers, but they are still private companies responsible for their actions. They have every right to pull the plug on a site user. BTW, selling services to the gov't isn't illegal and doesn't make a company part of the gov't.... just have to be fair market value, (Lying Donnie D.C. Hotel take note.)

I keep hearing that a socialist plan is to have the masses
dependent... Dependent on the Governing Class.

now many know of my foolishness.
so maybe dreaming of a new ideal
will be smashed because my idea doesn't meet conformity?

the 1920's again...?

Business will adapt by reducing the labor pool. The rich will get richer the poor poorer. Business will be move overseas to countries with $5 and hour min wage. The poor bastard expecting $15/hr will be bitching in the welfare office about how the man screwed him. Story as old as time. Abolish the min wage.

Inflation isn’t causing the house prices to rise, it is the endless supply of cheap money. Raise interest rates to 8% and see how cheap houses will become.

the first 4 words would've been the whole story in a nutshell

The prime beneficiary of the rising minimum wage is landlords

There are a lot of help wanted signs around here. They say $12 hour to start. $15 won't make that much difference in North Georgia.
Why is the Govt interfering in private business? what gives them the right? They’re supposed to be working for us. Not the other way around.
