Desantis is genius

All it took was 50 (FIFTY!) people to a rich, celeb-filled community up in the NE to turn everyone’s attention directly on this admin’s historically failing policies. From here, simple guidance of the public’s attention to the astronomical amount of drugs and free-flowing migrants coming across the border that they never hear about on the nightly news should suffice.

Using extremely vulnerable people as pawns to appeal to the angriest people in this country is both cruel and inhuman.
I agree a little with this. However breaking the law is breaking the law. If the people we elected to enforce said laws don’t want to for political reasons, there is only one way to get their attention. Leave it at their front door. Our elected officials are literally saying publicly there is no issue at the border. What do you expect. Obviously there are major issues there. How cruel and inhuman is it to invite them to come across the border with no plan to help them or protect them. It doesn’t feel good. Does it. You guys use every victim in America for political gain you can, then just spit them out when done with them. What blm stole from their victims was sociopathic.

Quit acting as if you care, they came from their homes to a strange land surrounded by coyotes and people taking advantage of them the whole way. Your party invited this to happen! MV is sanctuary city, so what is your problem? The hypocrisy runs deep in the left.

and unlikely to curry favor with independents and swing voters
They just want to be a sanctuary city when it looks good publicly. To piggyback off a post above. Should be a great thing to end up in a sanctuary city. Why all of the sudden is there a huge issue. They don’t want to do the real work.

This is why we need common sense immigration reform. Its obvious with the ever growing decline of labor force participation (has been happening for decades) it's time to address immigration. Also immigration reform will greatly benefit farmers and potentially reduce inflation.

https://thehill.com/opinion/congres...e-lowering-inflation-and-growing-our-economy/
The dems will not even consider immigration reform unless the "reform" includes total amnesty. If they drop that demand a bill could be passed tomorrow., but they won't drop it. You have to ask yourself why...

our current immigration laws are 30 years old
It's clear that a segment of the population doesn't want immigration reform because #1 it's a great political tool to ramp up their political base and #2 fear that immigrants will vote overwhelmingly in favor on one particular political party. #2 is key to finally getting immigration because it's based on misinformation. South Florida and South Texas show immigrants don't vote strictly for Dems.

What is your opinion of amnesty? If it's allowing individuals (especially Dreamers) who have lived in this country for years with no legal issues and able to financially support themselves citizenship then you're right, Dems won't drop that and they shouldn't. Now you have to ask yourself why the Repubs are against this......

I believe common sense immigration can be done but the demonization of immigrants must end. We need immigrants right now. Americans' don't want to work on farms picking V/F in 100 degree temp or replacing roofs during mid summer in the south and southwest. Americans don't want to work as dishwashers in restaurants on hotel staff cleaning rooms.

Is Martha’s Vineyard that bad? I recall once cages were inhumane, now you can’t even send them to the nicest places in America without it being inhuman.

Have to say it's genuinely hilarious to see people pretend they care about these migrants’ mental health. I'm sure they would rather be stuffed in one of the overcrowded, crime-riddled detention facilities. Much more humane.

Anyway, wouldn't you know....in predictable fashion, 50 migrants show up to MV and they formally proclaim a "humanitarian crisis" and actually brought in the NATIONAL GUARD lmao (and subsequently removed them within 24 hours). Whew boy...if they only knew what was going on down south. But no siree, no border crisis, humanitarian crisis or anything else to see per this admin. A complete and utter joke.

My common sense reform is to 1- enforce current law and secure the border. We need to stop the spigot of illegal immigration. And, reform should make it EASIER for immigrants to come to this country, legally. Yes, we need and welcome immigrants. We just prefer they obey the law. And we prefer to have systems in place to absorb them without bankrupting local communities.

2- as far as amnesty, start with the dreamers. They should not be held to the same standard as adults who broke the law. Democrats demand for amnesty does not make the distinction.

Enforcing the law is not demonization of immigrants. On the contrary, enforcing the law equally to everyone is the ultimate in fairness.

Daily dose of gaslighting from this WH...they say the Pubs are blocking them from solutions. Have both houses...but those damn Pubs. Oddly enough no mention of the multitude of Govs that requested a sit-down to address the problem over a year ago that the admin ignored (and continues to ignore).

More immigration questions for them to lie about the last two days than the entire term thus far. You can bet they are working hard to make immigration an afterthought as it was before this week.

The Bidenites sending those same people to MY state (Florida) is not using those same vulnerable people? They are not supposed to be in this country at all. What about that part of it?
You conveniently call it names when it don't fit your agenda.
My man Ron DeSantis is sticking it up your nose so now you're all concerned for them.

Whatever. Free trip to Martha’s vinyard is not cruel. Btw, no one is forced to make the trip. What Biden’s illegal open border is doing to places and residents in El Paso is cruel. And hell yes they are angry. You should be angry. Maybe libtards will finally recognize something must be done.

Haven’t seen many people demonizing immigrants. Think most of us demonize Biden and his cronies

People who live in a place called El Paso are upset with illegal immigrants? Lol why are they living there?

Desantis might be in trouble

Rolling Stone magazine!!! You brought in the big guns LOLOLOLOL!!!!!
It's the old, "expersts say" CNN ruse.
You're so genuinely concerned with those poor illegal migrants, why don't you send me your address and I will personally see to it that Governor Desantis sends some of them over to stay with you. In fact, I'll help pay for the bus.

You are absolutely right. Biden and the Dems should be ashamed of opening the border and pushing for amnesty.

Such a political game. You nailed it! Bring in the pawns, give them stuff, get there vote.

Kinda sounds like football recruiting.

I fail to see the humor. Are you suggesting if a person is upset with thousands of illegal immigrants invading their town, they should move ?
They shouldn’t move there. Have you seen where EL Paso is located on the map? Its a metropolitan area that extends into Mexico. Don’t move there expecting to live in an environment similar to Kansas.

You sound rather pompous. By chance, are you a Democrat?

But if you live in Martha’s Vinyard….. what environment are you expecting?

Funny how much opinion our government has on where our citizens live and how they should live until the very rules they tout affect them.

Then those election promises are uncomfortable. Welcome to elite wealth government.

what is the going rate to become a citizen these days? Isn’t it like $10,000, this would be a great start for so called dreamers.

then you would agree that Biden is the most inhumane and despicably cruel, correct? Since he has order hundreds of such flights and even more busing? Who is Biden appealing to when he is doing it?

in fact, it’s is Biden that laid out the blueprint for how to do this, and perfected it by doing it in the middle of the night.

Desantis might be in trouble

thankfully, Joe should be able to show him how to navigate this trouble..

I couldn’t find Rolling Stone covering it, but, hopefully you will accept these sources.
