Further Comment on Trump / Kemp feud….

That's fine. But you know you wouldn't act as if it wasn't a big deal if a Democrat did any of those things.
And this highlights the hypocrisy of politics. If the shoe was on the other foot the outrage would be the same.

I'm gonna give another example on here of this way that Republicans cave to Trump in ways I would've never thought I'd see. I mean, I just wouldn't have ever thought a guy like him could rise to prominence in the party.

Had a friend (he passed away a few years ago) who did the full twenty years in the military and retired and got a civilian job, so he'd been inactive for almost two decades. But military guy through and through. So we're talking about Trump and he doesn't understand how I could vote for Clinton (this was leading up to the 2016 election). And I just went through how he's not fit for the office. etc. etc. I won't go into all the details except this one. I asked him how he felt when Trump said McCain was a loser for getting captured. He said "Well, he shouldn't have said that, but it's not that bad of a thing". But I know this man, and I know that's not right. So I asked him, how would you feel if one of your boys said that about McCain. Long pause. I finally interjected and said, "I know you. You'd be mad as hell and they're your kids." He agreed. I said "What would you feel like if Obama had said it? I know you. It wouldn't be 'Well, it's not that big of a deal. But Obama's policies are bad and I'm not voting for him.'"

I see the same thing with many Christians.

Trump "Grab her by the p*****" - Evangelical Christian "Ah. He's just a little rough around the edges."

Trump "I don't ask for forgiveness. I just try not to do bad things."- Evangelical Christian "Well, he's just a baby Christian." None of them would've said you're first a baby Christian, then you ask for forgiveness to become an adult Christian. If I had said this is the way it works to them, they all would've gotten their Bibles out and beaten me over the head with them.

Kids are leaving church today because they don't see practiced what is preached.

This guy wrote this song called "Hymn to the 81%". The 81% being the percentage of Evangelical Christians who voted for Trump in 2016.
He called it a lament.

I grew up in your churches
Sunday morning, evening service
Knelt in tears at the foot of the rugged cross
You taught me every life is sacred
feed the hungry, clothe the naked
I learned from you the highest law is Love

I believed you when you said
that I should trust the words in red
To guide my steps through a wicked world
I assumed you’d do the same
so imagine my dismay
When I watched you lead the sheep to the wolves

You said to love the lost
So I’m loving you now
You said to speak the truth
So I’m calling you out
Why don’t you live the words
That you put in my mouth
May love overcome and justice roll down

They started putting kids in cages
Ripping mothers from their babies
And I looked to you to speak on their behalf
But all I heard was silence
Or worse you justify it
Singing glory hallelujah raise the flag

Your fear had turned to hatred
But you baptized it with language
torn from the pages of the good book
You weaponized religion
And you wonder why I’m leaving
To find Jesus on the wrong side of your walls

And this highlights the hypocrisy of politics. If the shoe was on the other foot the outrage would be the same.

You have to love an accusation of hypocrisy for a hypothetical reaction to a hypothetical scenario.

Hypothetical hypocrisy is a game that both sides can play.

I don't believe it would with me. I'm not beholden to either side. The reason my friends couldn't believe I was voting for Clinton is because they assumed I was a Republican and I have voted Republican before. I don't usually talk much politics or didn't until 2016. That's why I've said on here policies to me are kind of overrated. I get that if you are committed to a party platform you don't feel that way. But I'm not and I've never been a person that particularly cared to argue politics. I do think there's some kind of problem with a belief system that says you have to be for one political party or you are not obedient to God. I think those people are really playing around with idolatry.

I don't think 100 percent of either side does it full stop. I'd consider myself a moderate conservative but it pisses me off they've put forth Trump when there have numerous off ramps to go in a different direction. He's a moron. There is a reason an unprecedented number of people he hand picked as staff don't support him. This is further backed up by his actions the last couple weeks.

What pisses me off even worse is thinking you can lie to me and I'll believe anything you say because of party affiliation. You're not going to feed me shit and tell me it's steak. I don't really understand the need to find fake tik tok, Twitter, Instagram, X or new stories to try to make a point. If you have a legitimate point you shouldn't have to do that to make it.

Having said all that I don't like the other side either. Lol.

I’m voting for Trump, but if you think he isn’t a bad candidate you aren’t being objective. His negatives are too high and he shoots himself in the foot every chance he gets. The Democrats constantly set landmines for him and he steps on them every time. He would have been re-elected in 2020 if he could have learned to STFU, and he doesn’t seem to have learned any lessons. I vote on principles and ideas so I am voting for Trump no matter what, but many people vote on personality and he is sabotaging his own efforts with a sizable portion of independents.
I agree with you, hes own worst enemy. I would gladly vote for Desantis or even Vivek if they were the candidates.

I really do feel the NABJ interview by Trump was his Biden debate moment. The lasting affect its going to have amongst the black community is going to be a tough hill to climb. I saying right now he doesn't get more than 8% of the black vote.
Maybe. That being said , black men are fleeing to Trump. Latino men are not voting for a black woman. Thats never gonna happen.

I happen to like Harris/Walz, but the question would be - who is that candidate?

is the "platform" still Project 2025 and adjacent, Heritage Foundation product? because if so, the answer is NO.

I do not intend this as snark - but all the Reagan Republicans are now Democrats.
And the Clinton Dems are all Republicans.

Sure.

Marist poll:

"She has gone from a 23-point lead with Black voters over Trump a couple of weeks ago, to a 54-point lead."

"Latinos have also moved in Harris' favor. 58% say they would vote for her now, compared to 51% last month."

As a Christian I do not claim to know Trump's heart or if he is a Christian. If he hasn't asked for forgiveness he needs to re-think it. If I only voted for Christian leaders I would likely never vote because there are few. I vote for the person who's policies closest fit my beliefs.

Trump took action to shut the border which saved many lives. He took action to stop sex trafficking. He cut regulations to allow businesses to thrive. Cut taxes, pushed us to energy independence, got us out of wars...

I never liked Trump before he ran. In 2016, the only Republican out of the 16 running that I would have put Trump in front of was Lindsay Graham. At the end of the day it was Trump or Hillary and he was far better than Hillary so I voted for him. He appointed 3 conservative judges to the supreme court. Just imagine this country if Hillary had won and appointed them.

If you think a Christian should turn a blind eye to the suffering that is caused by open borders, pushing sex changes on children. gay porn in schools, abortion up until birth... then we cannot be further apart on the matters at hand. As a Christian we are to pray for our leaders. I do that but I will do what I can to get someone in that lines up with my beliefs and this year that is Trump.

You have other choices. The Republicans in Congress vote for his proposals 90 percent of the time. This isn't hard. He ran this time like a sitting POTUS. Didn't even have to debate.

Sure.

What word is in my post that is not in yours, see if you can figure it out. 6-7 % swing in Trumps favor and he wins.

Also 23% to 54%? Come on now.

The saving the Black jobs from the illegals seems to be really hitting home for him. He should keep saying that. Give him a thumbs up over on Truth Social for that one. Let's help him keep the message lit.

The quotation marks around it mean that I did not write it, and if you are saying one off polls aren't really dispositive, fine - but I don't see you coming back to me with other indicators of how the race is changing.

another poll suggesting that she is approaching Biden numbers from 2020. What makes you think she won't surpass them? or hasn't already (I see this polling data is from five days ago).

I understand that female voters are going to go for Harris. I also understand that black and brown MEN aren’t voting for a black woman. Especially one that supports replacing them.

I read Trump lost by 12K votes and there were otherwise 30K Republican ballots that didn't vote Trump. All Trump did by attacking Kemp was remind those 30K voters why they didn't support Trump last time.

When it was Biden vs Trump, neither was popular outside of the core supporters so we were going to get stuck with one or the other. Kamala, no matter how undistinguished her VP record, is neither Biden/Trump and that very low bar is driving the change in the polls.

I don't think Trump is an existential threat to democracy if he wins, nor do I think Harris is going to do any more damage than Obama/Biden. The country will survive either. If it's to be Harris, then I'd be happier if at least one house remains in Republican hands as a check.

I voted for Trump last election and was just about prepared to do it again until he went off the rails again on Kemp. I'll vote for a third party candidate this year or leave it blank. If Trump loses, then that is the end of the road for him politically and that's not a bad consolation prize. This election would have been a slam dunk landslide Republican victory with just about anybody but Trump on the ticket. Clean up the party leadership and actually put some candidates on ballots that can win.

Its really crazy how Trump can get support, but can't keep it. He has absolutely handed the election to Kamala Harris.

Who are my choices? Looks like Trump and Kamala are the options. Did joe have any competition? Just Kennedy and they blocked him and withheld USSS protection.

"I just need 11,780 votes, Brad". Yes, Trump seemed very interested in finding out how corrupt and wide ranging voter fraud was in Georgia. I mean that's the kind of statement you make when you're interested in investigating illegal voting.

You know, like when the detective comes to investigate a murder and asks for a body.

BTW, any evidence that those non citizens actually voted? No. They weren't registered.
Sure. The guilty party is just going to come out and say “ yes we cheated, you got us”. That’s why it’s called the deep state. You know that, you are just to obtuse to admit it.

That's what I'm thinking too with these SEC refs and Bama. What you think, slick? The good news is, and it's from a very solid source on Twitter, is that the Dems can't get all the fake ballots they had prepared changed to Harris/Walz quick enough this time. So Trump wins!!! They don't have enough ballots. It's great.

I know many people who voted all Republican but left the Trump box unmarked.

What's crazy is that for all of the flaws we see in public, it's likely much worse in private. There is a reason so few of his former cabinet members have endorsed his current run. They worked with him directly and they know what he is truly like away from the camera.

Please, read the definition of gaslighting. Gaslighting is much more than trying to make you believe something that's false.

You have to laugh when the Trump talking heads on FOX and Vance talk about what a hard person Harris is to work for and how her former underlings hate her.

It’s also trying to convince one that the truth they recognize and know for a fact is false. That is the example you gave me.

It's more than that. It's really almost impossible to gaslight if it's not a close personal relationship.

And of course, that's not what I'm trying to do, but carry on.
