Zero chance Doge cut anything close to two trillion. Not going to happen.I predicted this guy would work out. Their system was bloated and corrupt.
Need to keep in mind, our economy and their are completely different. As are our budgets.

We need to raise the age for SS and Medicare to 67 and make “early” from 62 to 65. If you are not doing those, this is all window dressing.
Agree. You wouldn’t touch current retirees, make it for people being born this yearZero chance Doge cut anything close to two trillion. Not going to happen.
-Gotta have goals. If they only cut 1 trillion would you consider that a failure?

-Everyone in DC knows that but no one will dare try it. The way to pass something close is to propose these changes but only for those currently under 30 years of age.
I would not consider $1 trillion in savings a success Without details on exactly where that money came from. Do I want to decrease food safety inspectors? No do I want to decrease air traffic controllers? NoZero chance Doge cut anything close to two trillion. Not going to happen.

Yes, very complex. The wealthiest people in the country tend to not be actually wealthy or even people. They are small businesses who generate tax revenue and create jobs which in turn generate more tax revenue. But I digress.I would not consider $1 trillion in savings a success Without details on exactly where that money came from. Do I want to decrease food safety inspectors? No do I want to decrease air traffic controllers? No
Also, once we identify where we are going to cut and what the effects of that cutting are, I would need to see that all of that savings immediately gets put toward paying down our national debt. If we save $1 trillion only to cut taxes by trillion dollars for the wealthiest people, then we’re really not accomplishing our goals. So it is a complex issue.
