I added two different sources, to add as much context as possible, but this is the most important context imo:

“On March 15, although ICE was aware of his protection from removal to El Salvador, Abrego Garcia was removed to El Salvador because of an administrative error,” the government wrote.

So ICE has admitted in court to sending an innocent person to a slave labor camp with out due process.

This is it folks. It's here. Once the precedent is set that we can send people to foreign prisons without due process, the rule of law it gone. It can happen to anyone and everyone. Including you. I know most of the usual suspects here are so far gone down the rabbit hole the Trumo could shoot your wife in front of you and you wouldn't care. But for the people with some semblance of their humanity left, do you really want the government deporting people here legally without any justification or accountability? Do you understand that this means there is nothing stopping the Trump administration from sending anyone they don't like to foreign prisons to never be heard from again?

It may surprise you but I agree with you as far as due process for deportees unless there is already a standing deportation order. My expectation is the admin will get slapped down by SCOTUS and anyone wrongly deported will be entitled to pursue civil penalties.

Does the current administrations willingness to remove people outside of due process worry you in anyway? In the article it states that they will not get him back out of the prison. He likely likely spend the rest of his life in a foreign prison having done nothing. How do you justify this, SC ruling or not?

What are the chances the Atlantic is misleading you again. I am sure the rest of the story will come out but no one will see it in the MSM.

Did the man enter the US illegally?

If you let millions of illegals in, and lie like hell to us about it, it's not shocking some type of error will occur when deporting them. Apparently there is question over prior gang affiliation that some say has been debunked. We'll find out soon enough.

Yes, I do find it disturbing and I don't like either side playing games with due process or enforcing laws in an over-zealous fashion or in a lackadaisical fashion. So, yes I find deporting people without due process troubling. However, I find it no more troubling than allowing mass illegal immigration in the first place or the FBI targeting grannies praying in front of abortion clinics. It is why I feel like our government is FUBAR.

I have no issue with Trump being the subject of aggressive reporting and getting corrected by the courts as long as he fights in court and doesn't ignore SCOTUS decisions. I don't trust anyone with the power to tax and regulate. I just wish O supporters and the press would have been just as aggressive when we were being told the ACA would save us 2500 per yr in health insurance cost.

I agree. Or like when Obama was deporting people with questionable legal processes as well. My issue here is I get that mistakes can be made but it appears they aren’t even trying to negotiate with El Salvador to bring the guy back. It implies bad faith on their part in the first place.

I think this is incredibly unfortunate. I hope they change their stance and pay what needs to be paid to bring anyone wrongly deported back. I don’t trust the Atlantic. They have been wrong way more than right, but this actually sounds legitimate. Make a mistake. Fix it.

This doesn’t change the fact that laws at the border not being enforced is what caused this issue in the first place. Never happens otherwise. And lying about needing Congress to enforce the law turned out to be complete bs. Seems like the border is mostly closed now. I do hope this administration will slow down just a little to pay attention to the details a little more. What they have been doing for the most part is spot on. Just do it better and cleaner

He should’ve been released and he was accidentally sent on the plane. It appears that administrative mistake was made. I am sure they will get him back.

Personally, I’m OK with it. This nonsense about “legal asylum“ is absolutely insane. Democrats are continually trying to flood our country with brown folks, and this guy claiming that gangs in his home country would hurt him. It’s not my concern. That is not the basis on which we allow people the privilege of immigrating into the United States of America.

Build the effing wall already!

I heard on a radio news break that Karoline Leavitt is disputing The Atlantic's story about this guy and claims to have seen evidence that he is indeed MS13 and was involved in human trafficking. Imo, that doesn't change my feeling that there should have been a judicial review before he was sent off to a foreign prison but it does cast some doubt over The Atlantic's portrayal of the subject.

I will be curious to hear more about this story as we go. There are some interesting claims about false deportations out there. That are a real bad look. Usually, when the lefty media is the first to report it, you can almost guarantee it is either not true or grossly exaggerated

Unfortunately, I think we more we learn about these cases, the worse it’s going to look.

I keep hoping that this isn’t who we are as a country, but our current direction is beyond concerning.

Here ya go -

The Gateway Pundit repeating Vances’s lies does not change the fact that he’s lying.

The person in question is not a convicted gang member. He hasn’t been convicted of anything.

Did they receive due process or are they just saying they're gang members?
They are gang members because ICE decided they are gang members.

They are all from out of our country and he was a known gang member. He was not a citizen of this country so he didn’t qualify for due process.
One more time for the cheap seats in the back. Everyone in this country is afforded the right of due process. Everyone.

These gang members have been designated as members of a terrorist organization and is a threat to our country. They are all over this country because of Biden’s policies and they all have to go. They don’t have to have a trial to be deported.

Designated by whom and on what evidence?

Can you point to where in the 5th amendment it says that non citizens are not protected?
Designated by whom and on what evidence?
In aih’s defense there is a shit ton of conflicting info out there. Hard to make heads or tails of anything. Trump enlarged the scope of expedited deportations for illegals committing a crime and being in the country for less than two years. There has always been this option if they are within 100 miles of the border I think. That is without a hearing. But I guess it is considered due process. Since someone is deciding their fate.

You guys are right there with the lefty talking points. The judge this and ice that. I read something that said the judge determined he was a gang member. That is why I will let the dust settle. You can give a little grace to someone for not believing any lefty papers or shows. Because they lied about everything the last four years. And the small amount of conservative outlets have had their issues too. If it turns out to be a mistake. Go get him back and pay him damages. Immediately. Hard to judge what to believe. There is also a claim of the enemies act. Which is now in the courts. That has a different set of rules as well. If you are charged with hostility toward the USA under this act you lose all benefits afforded to you. So in no way is it just that simple.

Was he convicted of anything? If not, then he shouldn't be deported. If we can deport people without due process we can deport you for being a rapist

I am not a lawyer so all I can say is go talk to Pam Bondi she was with ICE when this guy was arrested if I am not mistaken.

She also stated that tariffs are paid by the exporting country sooo… not sure I believe shit that comes out of her mouth. It’s all a lie.

Harold and Kilmar go to a Salvadorian prison

"Protected immigration status"
So Biden’s poorly run immigration program has no clue what it’s doing?

“Protected immigration status” my, my.

What does that mean? Does it mean I am paying for his safety?

We have the most ridiculous immigration laws and policies in the world.

I feel for him as it would have been better to allow him to move to Canada or Mexico….. oh yeah, they don’t allow that.
