A lot of these people would fly here just to have the baby born in the USA. That is crazy.

The most important thing….and Trump knows this….is that those that would move to the US just to grandfather a baby in….:THINK that you can’t do that anymore. All the apoplectic reactions from media, endless debate, and discussion for the next few years will do more work than whatever actual legislation gets passed (or not).

Trump playing 4D chess with the Executive Order. I think the main goal is to get a Constitutional Amendment started, particularly since it has been discussed in the past in relation to the Birthright citizenship. Getting 2/3 majority of Congress is a long reach at best, but with the number of Democratic Senators and Congressmen on the hot seat, who knows. Never before has an amendment started by 2/3 of the states with constitutional conventions, but this issue could make it happen. Today getting 3/4 of the states to ratify it is more than possible.
