I’m so over this cold weather!

The snow gives a visual to what my dog is smelling:

Pongo - Look at these footprints in our driveway! I must smell all these footprints!

Me - Yes, Pongo, those are our foot-

Pongo - A man! A man has been here wearing boots like yours! He even smells like you! And look! He has a dog!

Me - Yeah those are y-

Pongo - More dog prints!

Me - Yeah, those are ones you just made getting to those other-

Pongo - I must pee on all these footprints!

Me - You already did that.

Pongo - Look! Somebody peed on these footprints!

I’m so over this cold weather!

I live on one of the islands near Savannah and very near the Gulf of Georgia (formerly the Atlantic Ocean).

Tuesday night freezing rain then snow Wednesday AM. It all looked real purty, and I got out and took pictures. Kids in the neighborhood had a blast. I was proud that Pongo and I still got our 2.5 miles of walking done. That’s a good workout in the snow.

However, very little snow melted, and now everything is frozen over including the pond. Much more treacherous walk this morning. Pongo still left a lot of yellow snow.

Essential provisions like ice cream and cookies are gone. I’m gonna have to trek to Publix for more survival food.

Now I understand why those damn Yankees are so damn crazy!
I’m about to head over to that Publix in a minute. My “trek” yesterday came after 5PM (when they closed early) and that’s not happening again today. Loved watching the fancy neighborhood golf carts and SUVs pulling the kids around on blow up sleds all day.

Thank God. Trump restores our freedoms to

ponder this. Imagine a world where trump preemptively pardoned all people who participated in January 6th, 2001. He had time. What would the outrage from the left have been then? How should we react to all the preemptive pardon coverups from Biden just now? I am actually curious about your answer. Not being obtuse. Genuinely curious if you see any parallels at all. If you guys think 1-6 was a bigger deal than a vp and president selling out his country. Or if giving a pass to individuals investigating 1-6 is as big a deal. One group is a bunch of knuckleheads who followed a mob. The other is supposed to be the adults in the room.
Thank you for answering my question - I'm sorry once again you didn't answer the question.

I'm not going to imagine something that didn't happen as there is plenty of things that did happen to deal with. Also, what do you mean he had time to pardon those who participated in Jan 6th? No one had most of the names at that time and I would think you would actually have to name people if you were going to pardon them, even before they are charged.

No, I don't see a parallel. The pardons issued to Jan 6th participants were actually for crimes they were convicted of (for the most part). You mentioned in another post about someone waiting in jail all this time. Did you not see my response to someone else yesterday, that the person they mentioned had delayed his own trial for two years? Of course I didn't get any response to that from the person who had posted it, which is par for the course.

I'm not defending Biden but I don't recall him being charged with anything (not that I'm a fan of these pardons). However, Trump was charged with crimes (which I think he was guilty of regarding the election and documents), but he has essentially been pardoned.

It's unfortunate that pardons were given to those who investigated Jan 6th, because they were doing their job. But that's the current state with the way Trump is headed. Revoking security clearances and removing protection for certain individuals is Trump trying to exercise power over everything to show he can. He's continuing to be a loose cannon (yes, we know the games he is up to). Today, he plans to "demand" that interest rates be lowered and who knows what tomorrow will bring.

I'm not going to argue these things any further as this is just as futile as it has been and more so with other posters than you. Many posters keep posting nonsense and won't engage in a discussion anyway. And when someone curses out Trump which is fair game, we have a "nutman" curse out the poster which is not fair game.

So you and others can just keep posting what you want.

Damn global warming

That makes too much common sense. Instead, lets import our veggies from Peru...

All of these idiotic tax credit incentives have got to go and stop warping investment decisions. I am in the commercial insurance business and last week I saw a company that was looking for liability coverage. The business is called "passive carbon capture".

What is "passive carbon capture"? It is nothing more than a tax credit for owning forest land and not harvesting the timber - thus not releasing CO2 into the atmosphere....

So, more BS Green Deal from the government, that is nothing more than an incentive for rich guys to buy land solely for the tax credits they will earn.
Idiotic.
Wonder why the government wants to rely on foreign nations to supply us with food. This is a national security concern. What if these countries stop supplying us with food. This country needs to get back to common sense and take care of ourselves.
