Collecting data on Americans is interesting but the real danger is that it is an obvious propaganda tool. When the war happened between Hamas and Israel, people were shown significantly more pro-Hamas videos than they were pro-Israel videos. The Wall Streeet Journalcdid an investigation on it. It was like 15 to one. Even if you said that you did not want to see any content about it, they showed it to you anyway. Even if you listed your age as a minor, they showed you pictures of blown up bodies.
It’s being used to tear America apart. Make men hate women and vice versa, conservatives hate liberals and vice versa.
Also, when they invade Taiwan, their plan is to show lots of videos justifying their actions to try to prevent pro-Taiwan support. It’s what Russia has done over the last three years with their illegal invasion of Ukraine. And it has worked. Half the people on this board are not even sure why they should be supporting Ukraine anymore. About 10% of this board is actively pro- Communist Russia and posts their propaganda.
And we don’t even use an app designed by the communist Russians. If every single person in the country used an app designed by The communist Russians, their ability to influence us and shape our opinions would be even more dramatic than it already is just by using Twitter and websites.
