NonDawg Blocker Could We Get a Winter Storm Update?

@Blocker57 could we get an update on this winter storm? I’ve been perusing the weather forums and it appears this thing may be dying out. Still the forecasts are predicting below freezing down here in SOWEGA but if I’m reading the AmericanWX forums correctly this thing may go completely north and we just may end up with cold rain.

Any info you could glean on this would be great!

Thank you!

Never ever seen..

I’m 77 yrs old and I’ve never seen a penalty called on a first sideline interference penalty..unbelievable that a 15 yd penalty was called without a first time warning..in a championship game after a major play to possibly set up a touchdown..are you kidding me?
I believe it was personal..how dare you get in my way?
Are you kidding me?
This needs to be investigated..period!
Hopefully, as a judgement, to “censor” him if HE’S found at fault

Beard’s comment after the game, hopefully we will learn how the road goes in the SEC

“I thought we were the tougher team in the second half,” Beard said. “No disrespect to Georgia, but I think we were the tougher team in the last 20 minutes of the game.”

"I believe bouncing back from the Memphis game, we really focused as a group and kind of had to refocus," Brakefield said. "We had a couple of days to prepare for Georgia. Obviously, they're a great team, so when it came down to preparation, I believe that we were prepared."

"Obviously, the SEC is games like that for the whole year," Brakefield said. "Getting back and gathering as a group and realizing what the end goal is, that's what the whole week was about, being focused and prepared."

UPDATE I asked Kirby about the sideline interference

Q. You had a long completion down to Arian Smith and got a sideline warning -- sideline interference there. The ball comes back. Walk us through what happened there. What were your thoughts?

COACH SMART: "Yeah, very unfortunate. We had -- they said a coach but I think it was a player, fromwhat I've been told -- in the white, and the white is reserved for the officials. That's a safety concern. Most of the time, they'll grant you a warning on that; but it was not a -- it was a situation where it costus 15 yards. We still had first and ten and didn't take advantage of it.But, again, I call those things undisciplined, self-imposed wounds that you lose momentum on. So, it'sjust something you can't have happen."

Every SEC home team except

LSU won yesterday … by an average of 20 points.

#23 Arky lost by 24 and #12 Oklahoma lost by 28 on the road.

I think a Saturday home game in the SEC is like a Saturday night home football game, especially for the opening SEC game of the season.

Saying that, I don’t think our game Saturday is indicative of how our season will go. I think Tuesday’s game against KY will be a better statement on our season. Win that game and we are back on track. Lose … it’s an uphill battle from there. Lose it big, … and it’s” here we go again”!

Predicting the SEC

Over the past few seasons, team FG percentage prior to the onset of conference play has been an incredibly accurate predictor of SEC rankings at the end of the season.

Tennessee has been the only consistent outlier, based on their defensive efficiency. With new teams and coaches throughout the league, I’m not sure how this metric will hold up moving forward. However, UGA currently sits at 5th. I can’t remember the last time the team was in the upper half at this point of the season.

They are currently 6th in team 3PT percentage, in case anyone is curious.

Kind of insider, from a staff guy

“Kirby hired Bobo to replace Monken, and Searles to replace Matt Luke. Two of the best coaches in the country replaced by two of Kirby’s hunting pals. NIL we dont prioritize offensive players - we have 5 star defense players just rotating, and not a single player on o that will get drafted in the first 3 rounds.”

Ouch.

Just my two cents: It doesn’t make sense

To fire any coordinator or position coach until after this portal window closes tbh. Now that freshman that JUST SIGNED with their school and enrolled can enter the portal you are better off just waiting out the five days and then making the moves that way you have a few months to walk the recruits at that position through the succession plan and keep them in the fold. It doesn’t any good to lose those guys (even if you think the coach that recruited them is a bum and can’t spot talent)

(I may be alluding to one coach in particular here but I trust yall to read between the lines)
