This Season, not just game, will come down to a case of the WANTS

Watching film study from multiple sites ...one of our biggest issues lately BY FAR ...is players not truly fighting to get off blocks and not fighting every play on defense.

On offense it has been the most cliche word ever...execution. You have to at minimum go the right way and know your job AND do your job!

I am sure we have had lulls in the past but this is similar to last years herky jerky start imo. Difference was we didn't lose, had an easier schedule and had the excuse of a first year starter at QB.

Boys need to get focused and play their ass off or coaches n ed to put the next guy out there if nothing else JUST to say...if you don't fight off a block, OR you don't know the play...let's see what the next guy will do.

Texas may just want it more or maybe they have just been winning on talent and haven't had to see if they are willing to play 100 percent every snap to learn you can lose when you don't. I don't think they have learned that lesson yet. Hope our players have.

Today defines the season imo.

We can even lose but we can't lose because of piss poor effort or lack of mental execution...if the reason is because of the second two, then this is likely who this team is content to be.

One 5 Star???

What the hell is wrong w/ Rivals recruiting analysis? Haven’t checked the team rankings in a while but unless I’m reading it wrong Rivals has us w/ only one 5 star pledge and that is Griffin who we just landed today. What about Gibson? What about Walker? What about Williams? And a case can even be made for Taylor who I’ve heard several insiders say he will end up a 5 star in the final rankings and who is also at the top of OSU’s WR board which should tell you some about his talent. Regardless at minimum we have four 5 stars and imo we really only have two players who could even be talked about as a possible 3 star one of which is Shivers, who is technically no longer apart of this class and will end up elsewhere so that leaves us w/ one and that’s the foreign kid(maybe his name is JJ) who plays DL as well. However his 3 star status is bc he is a foreigner and bc he’s relatively new to the game. However I dare anyone to watch his film and tell me w/ a straight face that his ranking matches his play on the field. He is going to be really good and I’m excited to have him. Then finally some have Bo Walker as a 3 star, so we’ll mention him as well which is just not right. If you are a RB, and you are a take by UGA then you’re not a 3 star. UGA doesn’t take 3 star RB’s. Walker is really good and I personally can’t remember the last time UGA took a 3 star RB. When the cycle is over we should likely have six 5 stars and if we have even one single 3 star then Rivals needs to look for a new recruiting director unless we happen to add a flyer at the end of the cycle simply bc we have extra room and the kid has potential.

Never seen a coach crash and burn after a great season quite like Norvell.....

Chizik did go 8-5 and was 4-4 in conference play though they were awful the next season. But to have it right after with your team ranked in the top ten? Really surprising.

Orgeron was bad as well, but it was a weird season with no easy cupcake games and they did pull off the upset of Florida at the end.

Vengeance is Coming. Junkyard Dawgs

The doom of the dawgs dynasty is in the air. The naysayers and disbelief is rampant and toxic in the college football airwaves.

Life is about choices. When the Chips are down all you have is your family and friends. Your brothers in Red n Black who shed tears blood and sweat in practice and on the field. We gonna choose to quit? OH NO NO we GONNA FIGHT

You can’t kill a man twice. We have been to hell in Tuscaloosa and we are still standing, wounded and battered on the precise of recapturing the glory of the G. WE WILL FIGHT for the G and the brothers and sisters of dawg nation the world doubts us but we shall BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES. Kirby smart is seeing red and foam is forming at the mouth of the offense and defense to go lay the wood on some Texas boys and knock ‘em on their AAAAAAAA$$$$. Junkyard dawgs coming. I was bulldawg born and when I die will be BullDAWG dead so I’m riding till the wheels fall off hell or high water. Give em hell!!!!!! GO DAWGS

One Tailgate option

Longhorn City limits tailgate

I know there are 2 UGA themed tailgates here for Saturday. 1 and Parlor and Yard and 1 at Greenlight Social (both on 6th street)

one option for those who want to tailgate by the stadium is the Longhorn city limits free concert series tailgate that is on the LBJ lawn adjacent to the stadium. The lawn is huge (couple acres) and usually holds around 10K or more on gameday. the bands start at 2:00. click the link above to see that the band "Spoon" is headlining with several other guests. Free admission and booze sponsored by Titos and Still Austin Whisky. Drinks aren't awful (like $6) but better than beers in the stadium that are $12.

Yes there will be 1 million longhorn fans there, but I imagine that the people in Red can find each other and congregate together and get the barking started.

There are large projection screens around the place to catch other games and the event continues throughout the game if you cant find tickets. There are also several bars nearby if weather hits. Current forecast is 22% chance of rain of .07Inches which means it may sprinkle for 5 minutes and be cloudy but otherwise nice with high of 82.

This new NIL format, along with other changes, has dramatically

altered college sports. (Of course you all know this)
As the Virginia BB said in his news conference, he's not emotionally built to handle this new system.
I'm concerned that college football and basketball will now mirror the NFL and NBA.
Playing for a college team is now about the Benjamin's and not school loyalty.
