NonDawg Listening to a TX fan podcast.....they were pretty fair one guy says they flipped the call with no review

then they didnt give ETN a TD and every tackle was a review for targeting he said someone had a bag on the game.....he also said he was glad that it was flipped because if hadnt been and TX lost by 50 Texas fans wouldve said was the reason they lost...overall of course being TX fans they were happy it was flipped but fully understood why Kirby and UGA fans were pissed about

UPDATE Some early notes from today’s film session

Really enjoyed this No. 1. Appreciate Coach for doing it.
He broke down the film from the exhibition, focusing mainly on corrections he needs to see.

A few items:
…The plan is for the guards to be more aggressive on the offensive glass compared to last year.
…Spacing Ok, but players need to get to spots quicker.
…Justin Abson - High basketball IQ. Best passer of the big men.
…Savo Dregzic. Best passer on the team, but still some adjusting to do with the speed of the game. He’s having to change his approach some because speed/quickness of opponents is something he’s not used to - per White
…Areas to work on - avoid silly fouls, better gap help.
…Asa Newell - Elite runner and finisher.
…RJ Godfrey - Moves great laterally.
…Somto Cyril - Can be a difference maker defensively but needs to develop a more consistent motor.
…Bench was great. Players were really into the game.
…Look for players to stick to their same positions this year. Guys - by design - won’t be as interchangeable due to better overall depth. Dylan James will be one of just a couple of guys who will be asked to play more than one spot.

Will get to watch practice shortly

Bama tears: "Milroe killed Alabama football"....

Can't even read the OP on the site as once you click on it, it says "This post has been marked unreadable."

But it made it's way to MBG before all of that:

"If a QB was sugar, Milroe would be Splenda" Gump:
Bro c'mon with the name calling.
He ain't retarded.
He's just not a natural quarterback.

"He's just one Bozo in the Ringling Bros. DeBoer and Wommack circus" Gump:
He had his worst game tonight and was the person most responsible for the loss, but there was a clown car of idiocy all over the field today including gon the side lines.

This is a poorly coached, poor disciplined team playing poorly.

"After the Heisman ceremony, we can all move on" Gump: Just five more games with him and its over. Hopefully he takes his clueless fans with him.

Standardized testing Gump:
You sure he has an IQ over 75?

I'm not.

"There could be another sequel" Gump:
Not so fast, he has another year of eligibility.

He's the gift that keeps on giving. He's not going to leave Alabama football until we're an SEC bottom-feeder.

"Our best player has only been able to see R-rated films without his parents for a few months" Gump:
Losing to vandy was worse. Blowing a 30 point lead in second half vs uga was worse.

Without Ryan Williams this is probably already a 3 or 4 loss team

Inexplicable Gump: 2-0 vs Georgia though.

Daniel Jeremiah Gump:
No way he doesn't go pro. His measurables at the combine will be excellent. He's still going to be hyped beyond belief. Even during this game the announcers praised him. I expect him to be a first round pick.

Bullet points Gump:
He's thrown 5 INTs in his last 3 games.

Tommy Reese is looking like a god d*****d miracle worker at this point.

The coaches need to realize that Milroe can't run this offense, and move on.

DeBoer needs to sack up and bench this complete moron. We can't do any worse.

10 points on how many drives tonight? It felt like we had 30 possessions and 10 points.

Just an absolute abomination

"Colts will draft him to replace Richardson" Gump: They're going to see him at the combine running a great 40. Some team will fall on it and he'll be a terrible bust. NFL teams get bamboozled by these combine showings every single year.

"Calling him homicidal is too much" Gump: I'm not gonna say killed, but he really is holding the program hostage.

"Mama said if you laugh instead of getting angry you'll be happier" Gump:
When he airmailed the pass on 3rd down I didn’t even get mad I laughed.

It’s who he is right now.

Somebody might want to report this Gump to the FBI to monitor:
Jalen Milroe probably has more money than your entire family combined.

He's a multi-millionaire.

I don't care if people are so mean to him he cries himself to sleep. He's making more money than 99% of people in this country, and this comes with the territory.

I hope that he gets disrespected so much that he leaves Alabama forever. Take your shi**y LANK gang signs and merch, and get the frick out of here.

I'm done with these bullshite retarded gangster prima donnas. I'm done.

"When I say he's a dumb jock, I'm just saying he's dumb when he's actually being a jock" Gump:
He has a low football IQ.

Is that the socially acceptable way to put that these days?

"We paying serious money for this shiola" Gump: There’s too many people making generational wealth to lose to Vanderbilt and Tennessee and remain above reproach. If they fired the whole lot tomorrow it would be justified. This isn’t Seattle dude. Deboer needs to DO HIS frickING JOB

"Milroe and NIL killed Bama football" Gump:
And the entire OL revolted and didn’t block against USF.

That was a player revolt.

Josh Pate and others have said as much.

Milroe was a preseason Heisman candidate and owned the locker room.

Benching him would’ve taken more credibility than any incoming coach could’ve reasonably asserted and likely would’ve caused multiple players to leave.

NIL era football is the NFL without contracts. Coaches don’t run the show anymore. The federal courts saw to that.

Unkind Gump: He's not a kid, he's a frickin' grown man and he plays football for a living. If his intellectual capabilities match his football playing, then the motherfricker needs a drool cup to go with that helmet he's wearing.

"You know, cause Ty is like Arch but better" Gump: Sark is a real damn coach. He's about to bench Ewers. Watch.

"Need to call Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and the late Harold Ramis for Jalen" Gump:
Bro not only did he scheme them open but he schemed Cole Adams open as well and he had a touchdown. CJ Dippre had a big gain up the seam but Milroe missed him.

Dude was literally seeing ghosts!

What I'm so shocked at...is the simple fact that Jalen Milroe forced a badly thrown fade route ball to a 6'1 Ryan Williams when you had Caleb Odom (6'5) one on one against a 6'0 corner!

It would've been a touchdown if he throws it to Caleb Odom.

"Sometimes there's no good answer" Gump - Manning out there throwing wounded DUCKS! LOL
How'd that work out?

"Saban killed Alabama football" Gump:
Saban didn't really let them compete.

He is part of the problem as well.

Nick Saban didn't give Ty Simpson a legit opportunity.

"We don't get the edge of paying players under the table any more. That's never coming back" Gump:
This is what all the fans yapping about discipline and coaches’ arse kicking like they did 30 or 40 or 50 years ago don’t stop to realize.

The sport has inexorably changed forevermore, not just for Bama but for everyone. No, it’s not for the better, it just is. And nobody is going to ride to the rescue to change it back.

"Milroe is at the very least an accomplice in this horrific act of violence" Gump:
At this point, there is sufficient evidence to make a great case that if he didn’t kill it, he and like minded teammates contributed to Saban’s departure and thus this product we see now.

Is Alabama football dead? Maybe not forever, but the discipline, effort, and respect seem to be AWOL.

Arrogance. Laziness. No accountability. This team is a couple of plays away from a .500 record. Deboer better figure shite out and if it takes going scorched earth and benching 3/4 of the team I’m in support of it.

"Play Taps" Gump:
Our dynasty died today.

I was one of the few optimists after the Vanderbilt loss. I thought maybe it was just an anomaly.

This game was just complete diarrhea.

If you want to delete my thread out of respect for these retarded multi-millionaires who can barely form a complete sentence in interviews, be my guest. I'm not going to do it.

"Saban only left him an 85% blue chip roster, let's see what DeBoer can do once he gets it to 90%" Gump:
I've been a Milroe defender for a while and saw his upside if he could keep developing and progressing as a passer but the dude has not been the same the last couple of games. Idk if he's playing hurt or what but I've lost all faith in this guy. I wouldn't mind giving Simpson a shot at this point and I don't really care if it loses the locker room or not.

I think Saban and company had some really bad evaluations post Covid and Alabama hasn't been very good since 2020. Bryce Young and Saban masked a lot of the issues even though we started seeing the cracks in the foundation. Unfortunately, DeBoer has to clean it up. I'll judge him a bit more harshly when the locker room is all his guys, especially at QB.

***WAR ROOM*** UGA team and recruiting notes

Team

-First, I’ll talk about the team side of things. After talking to people at the scrimmage and in the program, I expect a big 2nd year from Silas Demary. I was told Demary has made adjustments to his jump shot and looks like a legit shooting threat now. Demary being a shooting threat will open the offense even more this season. Mike White likes to run his offense through his guards so expect big things out of Silas Demary and Tyrin Lawrence. I expect Lawrence to be the lead guard when Demary isn’t on the floor. I do expect Georgia will mix up who’s the 2 guard between Cain and Lawrence throughout the year though.

-Dylan James is making big strides like Demary I’m told. James will likely play more SF this year and has improved his jump shot like Demary.

-One noticeable upgrade for this Georgia team is post and center play. One source said Somto Cyril will be Georgia’s biggest offseason addition. Georgia has never had a legit center with the athleticism of Somto Cyril. Cyril is growing offensively and will be the best shot blocker Mike white has had in his team at Georgia so far.

-The hype around 5-star signee Asa Newell is legit. Multiple sources say Newell has opened eyes so far and in practices. Newell was effective on both ends of the court making and blocking shots. Newell’s ability to play in the post and on the perimeter is allowing Georgia to space the floor better.

-The transfer that’s opening eyes is Dakota Leffew. I was told Leffew can flat out score. The effort on both ends of the floor has been great and one source said he had the best showing at UGA’s recent scrimmage.

-Justin Abson’s ability to rebound and block shots has flashed a ton in practices. UGA sees Abson as someone who can run the 4 or the 5. RJ Godfrey versatility has flashed as well and could play both forward spots and defend all over the floor.

-The biggest takeaway for me from talking to people is that Georgia’s rebounding, versatility, and perimeter shooting is all improved.

Recruiting

Top 40 recruit guard Kayden Mingo is committing on November 1st. I talked yesterday about Mingo putting out a top 4 of UGA, PSU, VT, and Wake Forrest. After speaking with a few sources, I like Georgia to win out here. It’s a two-team race between UGA and PSU who still can’t be overlooked here.

One thing I was told as it pertains to Mingo is Mike White playing freshman early is helping. Another factor is Mike White running his offense through his guards. Anthony Goins is the lead recruiter here and without that hire UGA wouldn’t have a shot.

If Georgia lands Kayden Mingo on November 1st, it could have big implications for the 2026 class. Kayden’s brother Dylan Mingo is a 5-star PG in the 2026 class. I know he doesn’t report a UGA offer but Georgia will pursue. The last time Georgia pushed for a pair of brothers Jaden and Asa Newell it turned out well….

Another 2025 target Georgia is in on is 4-star SG Dante Allen out of Montverde academy. Allen is a Villanova legacy as his father played basketball for the Wildcats. After speaking with sources Villanova has the edge but Georgia is not giving up. A recent visit to UGA impressed Allen who’s being recruited hard by Erik Pastrana. Pastrana was the lead recruiter for Asa Newell who attended Montverde. It will be a tough pull for Georgia, but UGA isn’t giving up. I predict Allen commits to Villanova tomorrow.

-2025 C Jackson Mcvey put Georgia in his top 5 along with FSU, Florida, Georgia Tech, and Stanford. A source told me a couple weeks ago UGA was in good position but that was before Georgia landed 4-star Kareem Stagg. I am leaning towards Mcvey now ending up elsewhere. Mcvey has taken official visits to Georgia Tech, FSU, and Florida.

The No. 16 recruit in the 2026 class 4-star PF Moustapha Diop is another UGA target in the 2026 class to watch. Diop recently took his first official visit to Ole Miss who’s high on Diop’s list. Georgia’s coaching staff is in contact here and I expect to get a visit out of Diop at some point. Alabama and Missouri are also recruiting the elite power forward.

Georgia is recruiting the No. 8 recruit in the 2026 class Caleb Gaskins who is the No. 1 SF in the class. Gaskin is taking things slow and its early in the recruiting process, but Georgia will receive a visit at some point. UGA and FSU were the first two to offer the 5-star prospect. Gaskin attends Montverde Academy the same powerhouse high school that help produce Asa Newell.

The biggest name recruit on Georgia’s board in any class is the No. 4 recruit in the 2026 class SG Caleb Holt. Holt is the No. 1 recruit in the state of Georgia and a player Georgia has recruited for over 2 years now. Auburn and Alabama have been able to get Holt on campus recently. Holt’s first official visit will be to Ole Miss in November. I know there’s Georgia fans in Holt’s circle and he’s teammates with Georgia commit Jacob Wilkins. Holt visited UGA a couple times last year and will be a serious contender if they can get an official visit from Holt.

2026 SF Colben Landrew recently visited Georgia recently. Landrew is a player whose gained offers from Clemson and others recently. I expect Landrew to end up as a 4-star prospect in the next ranking update. Landrew recently transferred to Wheeler high school in Georgia. UGA, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and others are recruiting Landrew early.

2026 PF MJ Madison is another recent visitor to UGA. Madison will likely be a 4-star prospect in the next set of rankings as well. Madison is currently playing at Long Island Lutheran in New York. Madison is now high school teammates with both Kayden and Dylan Mingo. Madison’s in state ties being from Georgia and being teammates with the Mingo brothers could play dividends if Georgia pushes here.

Observations

-This is Mike White’s 3rd season and one thing I’ve noticed is White is willing to recruit every powerhouse high school program in the country. Blue Cain and Kareem Stagg both come from IMG academy. Asa Newell and his brother Jayden both attended Montverde Academy along with multiple UGA targets. Somto Cyril played for Overtime Elite. Georgia is looking to states like Georgia and Florida well but with new assistant coach Anthony Goins are expanding to recruiting the northeast.

-One big issue I had with Georgia’s previous recruiting approach was the lack of recruiting high school centers. Somto Cyril, Kareem Stagg, and the pursuit of Jackson Mcvey shows me that has changed. I really like the blend of high school and transfer recruiting from coach White. UGA is getting good young talent and experience in spots it’s needed.

-Another factor that’s helping recruiting is Mike White has started signees as freshman except Mari Jordan since being the head coach. The transfer portal has taken over college sports and Georgia showing love to day one dawgs is appealing to recruits.

-I will make a prediction a month out from the season and that’s Georgia makes the NCAA tournament. UGA hasn’t had a center with the talent of Somto Cyril. Asa Newell is the most talented player Mike White has had at Georgia. Newell being a lottery pick and good pro wouldn’t shock many people. Silas Demary is poised to breakout alongside Blue Cain and Dylan James. Justin Abson and RJ Godfrey will allow UGA to be more flexible on defense and be a great rebounding team. Dakota Leffew and De’Shayne Montgomery can flat out score whether as starters or coming off the bench. Tyrin Lawrence being a guard with SEC experience you can run your offense through with Demary on the bench will help. If Georgia has the season I’m expecting and people in the program are expecting watch out.

Having a Texas business owner ref a University of Texas game was poor planning

Matt Loeffler, the head ref, lives in Dallas and owns his own window company. While he went to TCU, he obviously does live and try to sell goods in Texas. Among the memorabilia on his wall is a Texas helmet, presumably because he reffed a big game involving them.

I am not saying his business influenced his call, but it could not have felt good to look up at the Jumbotron, see the replay, and realize he is going to have to take a ton of crap from Texas clients, who would now say that the penalty cost Texas the game.

By the way, his son, Brett, graduated from University of Texas.

Matt was just too close. There is an appearance of the potential to be influenced.

Saturday night was very stressful

Between Kirby inexplicably trying that onside kick after halftime when we had all the momentum and Texas not getting anything on our defense and Bobo not running the ball more in the second half to run clock. That BS call reversal after the trash-throwing fit by Texas loser fans. The BS PI calls and then non-calls on Texas doing it on back to back plays. Them never calling the textbook holding calls on Texas. I think I was having heart palpitations and almost had a brain aneurysm.

PS Edited the subject line when I was reminded we did lose a Venter Saturday night. My bad

Imagine if we had a top 10 player in the country

This team ...is a TEAM. more than any we have had with this kind of success. Not really any super stars on a national level. Beck has been erratic...starks umm, no wr pops, Etienne (awesome but not best in nation awesome), no lineman on offense is clearly dominant, no true shut down corner, I dunno... I think for fans it is confusing if/when the game plan is ummm let's see who is hot today

I mean seriously...11 is a stud on defense and we have others but who could ESPN say ...this guy is their heartbeat, or playmaker, or key guy the other team needs to watch?

Rare a team could win it all, but the media might not even really know which player to market in their promos.

I mean I don't GAS but it is interesting to see this team has no true ...focus on this guy star.

Maybe 11, but he hasn't done pollack stuff consistently just yet.
