NIL Allocation

I don’t assume UGA’s collective spending is already at $20M, but will get there and likely above with the rev sharing.

How close we do think an allocation like this is to reality? Obviously this chart is more thought exercise than practice, but seems like some of the principals align to Kirby’s strategy

- high end starters / NFL guys make GOOD money

- a decent minimum for guys on the roster / entice P5 level kids to walk-on

- pretty tiered middle group that keeps us from jumping into bidding wars for HS recruits (example… we’ll spring for a KJ Bolden in a tight recruitment to get 300k - 500K but not 750K+)

I hate NIL. Here are WR Micah Hudson’s list of demands. SMH

1- minimum of 700k wired up front for 1 year deal

2- separate NIL deal for 3 cars for family members

3- personal driver with Cadillac SUV for Micah from spring practice until end of season

4- family hotel and travel arrangements for up to 10 family members or friends. All travel, tickets and costs paid for

5- medical injury time off and playing after injury only determined by Micah

First round CFP predictions

I have to admit that while I’m not necessarily a fan of the 12 team playoff that I am excited to watch these games. Should be fun.

On paper, it looks like all the home favorites should win but that just seems very unlikely given the way this year has gone.. So I’ve got Texas, Ohio State, Penn State and then Indiana winning in an upset.

Who ya got??

I can catch a football. Here is my list of demands...

I am willing to quit my job to play WR at Georgia. I can catch a football, and I have four full years of eligibility.

Here are my demands:

1- $30 million. Cash money.
2- Get me out of paying any tax on that.
3- Give another $30 million to St Jude's Children's Hospital.
4- Give me the Arizona State cheerleader of my choice to act as my personal assistant.
5- Rehire Todd Monken. I know he can "scheme me open."
6- Fund a track and field scholarship at UGA in my father's name.
7- Chips Ahoy for the whole team.
8- Create a rule that any Dawg who gets caught speeding must replace his vehicle with an AMC Gremlin.
9- I get to ring the chapel bell anytime I feel like it for the rest of my life.
10- Rogaine.

Let's talk about our quarterback

I've been trying to justify my confidence in Gunner and I think I've found some good logic to justify the optimism. I know Gunner is not as good as Beck and there was a reason Beck was the starter. Beck's the prototype and could have gone round one without the injury. Hard to imagine Gunner getting drafted early. Highly rated guy coming out, but nobody is watching practice and arguing Gunner should roll with the 1s.

But why am I feeling confident in him and am hopeful that he's just the spark we need? His legs help. Determination like he showed on that overtime run will move the chains regularly. He throws with confidence. I like that he's connected to Bobo. The real reason I feel like he's not as good while also possibly better is based on recent history. It's basically been a constant since Kirby came home. Our best quarterback has rarely been our best quarterback.

Eason was better than Fromm in every way, except at actually playing football. Hell, Fields was too but he couldn't move the offense like Fromm.

Then we send out D'wan Mathis and though everybody will deny it now, the vent was excited to see what this strong arm, tall, fast athlete could do. Thankfully a walk on saved the day. Wasn't as talented, but better at college football. Fast forward a season, and I couldn't fathom the justification for playing Stet over JT. He was more polished, more accurate. But somehow not as good. We were even mad Stet started over Beck in that UAB game. Go with the guy with the high ceiling, we all said.

And here's to hoping that we remember Gunner and Beck the same way. I'm a fan of Beck, but it's hard to deny that our offense basically disappears at times. We seem out of sync. I'm not placing all the blame on 15, but our offense is very clearly a sum less than it's parts. I think Gunner may be the ingredient that changes all of that. It feels very similar to the Eason - Fromm transition.

The players have adored him since he stepped on campus. I know no player in the country is working harder to prepare for the playoffs. Ready to roll with him no matter how it goes and I'm excited to watch him lead this team.
